INSURGENCY

Chapter 2: A New Hope Begins

In Metropolis, soldiers were scouring the streets for two warriors who were trying to stop their plans to fully conquer the world. On a roof top, Mateo and Dinah were watching the streets to find their friends and convince them to quit the allegiance with Kal. They fought many soldiers and came out unharmed thanks to a pill called UR-115 that enhances their body to make them invincible. Luckily, their friends took the pill too. Mateo and Dinah were walking around the rooftops of the buildings to find any clue where their friends are. "Hey Dinah, you might wanna come here!" shouted Mateo. "What?" asked Dinah. "Do you here that?" Dinah nodded. It was music. It was coming from the zoo. "We should check it out. It might be our friends over there," said Dinah. Mateo nodded and the two were headed to towards the source of the music.

Mateo and Dinah arrived to the source, hiding so they won't be spotted. The source was coming from Jack and Seth. Jack was standing while Seth was sitting. The two looked different. Jack was now wearing a red T-shirt with straps on it, pants (red on the left leg and black on the right leg),  and black army boots. He sported a black leather jacket with red on the collar, shoulders, and left arm, black fingerless gloves, gun holsters on his thighs with two .45s in them, a wooden mallet on his back, and he dyed the ends of his hair red and blue(red on the right side and blue on the left side). Seth looked the same, but he wore a red jumpsuit with black highlights, gun holsters with .45s in them, and a black ak.47 attached to his back. Jack was singing while Seth was listening, a smile on his face. "🎵This is all hands on deck, calling out to lost boys and girls. I'm getting tired of the disrespect. We won't stop till we rule the world, it's our time, we're up next. Our sails about to be set. They see nothing yet. Tell 'em who in charge so they won't forget🎵" sang Jack. "🎵What's my name, what's my name? Say it louder! What's my name, what's my name? Feel the power. No one's gonna stop us, soon the world will be ours. What's my name, what's my name? What's it? What's it? Say it! Say it🎵" "Jack!" shouted Dinah. Jack stopped singing and walked forward a little bit. "Well, well, we found them, Puddin," Jack said to Seth. "We sure did," Seth said while he put an arm around Jack shoulder. Jack was blushing a little, but it didn't bother him. "Jack, Seth, please join us!" begged Mateo. "Go tell the others," said Jack quietly enough for Seth to hear. "Will do," said Seth. Seth kissed Jack's cheek before he left. "Jack, please join us. I know you like the attention you get from Seth, but you know it's wrong to force people you love to like you back," pleaded Mateo. "I know, but I don't think Seth like me, so this is the only way to know," said Jack. "No it isn't ," said Dinah. "There is another way. You could tell him you like him, and maybe he'll tell you he likes you ,too." Jack thought it over, but denied it because it was highly unlikely that Seth would like him back. "Yeah right," shouted Jack. He pulled out his gun and shot at the two former friends. Unfortunately, they dodge the bullet. "Dinah, leave this to me," said Mateo. He pulled out his bow staff and got ready to fight. "Yeah right, sweetie. You won't be able to defeat me," said Jack, pulling out his mallet. Jack ran towards Mateo, swinging the mallet, but Mateo dodged it. He went around Jack and kicked him in the back causing him to fall. "Damn it, Jack! Join us please," Mateo pleaded. "Maybe, I'll give you a gift instead," said Jack. With that, he tossed dynamite to Mateo which exploded on contact. Mateo flew back, landing on his back. Both of them got up, and Jack ran towards Mateo, hitting him with the handle in the stomach, hitting him in the head causing Mateo to fall to the ground, and hitting him in the ass, making Mateo fly to the opposite side of where Jack was. Mateo got up ran towards his opponent, blocking Jack's attack, smacking Jack in the face and hit him in the stomach and shoved Jack to the ground. With one hit to the head with his bow staff, Jack's dark spirit left, leaving him back to his old self. "Now are ready to join us?" asked Dinah. "Yes," said Jack, getting up. "Sorry for abandoning you," said Jack. "We forgive you," Mateo said, apologizing. Soon, they heard sirens heading towards them. "We gotta hide. NOW!," said Dinah. They ran out of the zoo. After they left, the regime soldiers arrived along with Seth. "They must've left," said one of the soldiers. "They also must've taken Jack," said Seth, heartbroken. "Continue your search. We need to capture the insurgents. I need get my Jack back!"
