I walked into the bathroom after smelling my disgusting morning breath. I looked up into the mirror to see my red puffy eyes from myself crying out of stress. I gotten eye drops from the cabinet, and positioned it over my left eye. I suddenly missed the my eye with the eye drop liquid, and dropped the little bottle to the sound of someone coughing. I looked to see Marcel. I rolled my eyes. "Are you done stalking me?"
"Why do you cry so much?" He questioned, disregarding my question.
I cleared my throat as I picked up the little bottle, putting eye drops in my eyes. "I don't."
"Why do you always put eyedrops in your eye then?" He asked. "And I know you're on depression pills. So don't start."
"Last time I checked I'm older so you shouldn't be talking-."
"Sometimes even the older ain't the wisest at certain times."
"Shut up." I snarled, as I pushed him out of my bathroom and closed the door.
I looked down at my large bandaids on my inner arms, hiding my slit marks. I felt my lip quiver as I sat on the toilet, beginning to cry.
I haven't heard from Mateo ever since what has happened, and that was last week.
I got up, and turned on the shower.

•"I'll be back in a couple hours." My mother said, handing me her card. I've lost weight of myself not eating either, so my mother is letting me buy a couple more clothes that would fit me. "Don't spend foolishly."
I nodded, and left her Mercedes after saying bye to her, and her boyfriend. I walked into the mall, and first walked into American Eagle for some jeans.
I gasped at myself as I looked into the mirror, realizing that even a size four is too big for me. I took it off, and picked up the second to last smallest size in this store.
A two.
I changed out of my size four, and crossed my fingers for it to at least be a little small, but my wish didn't come true.
I sat down to process everything that's currently running through my mind.
I used to be an eight. I'm now a twl. I had got up, and walked out of the changing room with my jeans still in shock. I had bought a couple jeans, them being a two. I held back my tears when I walked out of the store.
"A two?" I thought. I sighed heavily and blinked my tears away. I had bought a couple shirts, and a pair of sandals.
I walked towards drink vending machine behind a boy. He dropped a quarter. I bent down to get it while he did the same, and we almost bumped heads. I looked up at him, and smiled nervously once I have him he quarter. "Sorry."
"Nah it's aight." He waved it off and put the last quarter into the vending machine. He looked back at me after he gotten his soda. "I've seen you before." He paused, examining my face. "Oh! You're that girl who went miss-" He cut himself off. "What's your name?"
"I walked around him and slid my mother's card into the vending machine. "Mariyah."
"Oh. I'm Christian. But you could call me Chris."
I nodded once my water came out of the bottom of the vending machine. I grabbed it, and looked at him. "Well Chris, I'll be going."
I was about to leave big was only stopped by him. I clenched my jaw, and eyed him.
"Sorry, bu-"
"Listen if your asking for my number I'll pass." I said.
He scratched the back of his neck. "I-im gay actually. If I wanted your number it could mean I want to be your friend."
"Oh." I felt my cheeks flush red of nervousness. "Sorry."
I examined his face, and what was wearing. skinny jeans, bright pink Timberlands, and a baggy sweatshirt.
I'm starting to see it.
He shrugged. "It's fine. But I wanted to ask if your okay? You don't look the same as much as the pictures that I've seen of you from the past. You look... skinnier."
I nodded. "I'm fine."
I turned to walk away, and he caught up. "Your nicer too."
"I can tell." I looked up at him, sarcasm in my tone.
"Don't worry, today isn't my day either." He sighed.
I looked at him. "May I ask?"
"My boyfriend broke up with me. But I'm better without his ass."
"Are you really Cooper?"
"My name is Chris, and come on now. What black parent will make their child Cooper? And no," He sighed with his mood changing. "I'm not."
"Why? Y'all actually were in love right?"
"He cheated on me with another guy named Courtney, and I gave him another chance. He said he'll drop him but he never did I guess, because he broke my fine ass up for that nasty ass nigga." He said, now growing snotty once again. "I love him but I guess he ain't love me."
"It'll be alright Cam." I patted his back.
"It's Chris." He pouted.
"Sorry...but you'll find someone better than him."
"Yea, it was nice while it l-ooohhh who. Is. That?" He pointed. I looked over see a guy with dark brown curly hair. His smile he shared with his friends was worth a million dollars, and nice eyes. He was tall, and had some muscle but not too much. Just enough for what seemed for him to be a teenager. My heart began to race once I realized he had the most deepest dimples I've ever seen.
"I saw him first." I hear Chris spit. I looked to see him looking down at me with a hysterical glare. He crossed his arms and rolled his neck.
"I don't like him." I rolled my eyes. "And anyways, I think he's most likely straight. Sorry to break the moment."
"I know, but honey I turned my ex boyfriend gay." He smiled pettily. "Little do you know."
I rolled my eyes. "This new friendship is something I'm beginning to not be fond of."
"Well, too bad because we're friends now... And fine ass is making his way over."
"Wait wha-" I cut myself off to see him standing infront of me. "Hi, what's your name?"
"Girl." I mumbled.
He looked at Chris, and smiled friendily, before frowning. "Oh sorry is this your girl? Or friend or-"
"Friend." Chris smiled. He was staring at this guy with complete heart eyes. He fiddled with the strings his sweatshirt.
He nodded, and looked back at me, holding out his hand. "I'm Tre. And you're girl."
I playfully rolled my eyes. "Mariyah."
"Well Mariyah, I wanted to say that you're very beautiful."
I am?
I mean, my mom forced me to wear makeup to make myself not look so tired.
"Thanks I guess," I moved my hair behind my ear.
"Don't you go to Roman High?"
I shook my head. "Used to, I'm home schooled now."
"Oh. Well, I'll see you around, Girl."
"By Guy." I waved, as I walked away.
"Oh my lawd how did you just dub him like that?"
I looked at him, playing dumb. "What? How?"
"You ain't even try to flirt. He wanted that number."
"Oh well." I shrugged. "I've came to the mall for myself anyway. The only number I'll be taking is yours. You're officially my new first friend."
He pulled out his phone while I did mine, and we exchsnged numbers. "Glad doin' business with ya'." He smiled.
