We've spent about two days in the Greek Islands now, and it really is beautiful here. The food is amazing, the land is fabulous and everything's great except, I miss everyone back home.

Fred, George, and Ginny owled me yesterday and told me that they were going to Egypt to visit Bill because they won the lottery. I'm really happy for them, they deserve it.

Father's eased up on the punishments quite a bit, but that's probably only because I'm mostly with mum. We've been going to spas, shopping, sight-seeing, and there's still a bit of this trip left. To say the least, this trip has been heaven so far.

"Samantha dear, come on or we'll be late." mum said trying to hurry me along. Oh, I almost forgot, we have reservations for one of the best resturaunts around here; our entire family is going, that being me, Drake, mum, and father.

"Coming mum!" I called after putting my hair into a ponytail. My hair's gotten pretty long lately, mum cut it not to long ago because it was almost down to my thighs but its back at mid-back length again. I quickly walked down the stairs and into the front room where everyone else was, and for some reason father was mad.

"What took you so long Samantha? A young lady should know not to keep her family waiting," he sneered and I supressed an eye roll. Of course father, never mind the fact that Draco isn't even down yet.

"A young lady makes her family wait if she knows she isn't presentable Luscius," mum said rather coldly back to him. "Besides, your son isn't down here yet."

"Sorry about the delay, couldn't find my hair brush." Draco said coming down the stairs.

"Well then, lets get going." mum said taking my hand and walking out with me. Well that's odd, mum is normally not cold to anyone, let alone father. Father isn't usually cold to mother either; I wonder what's going on.

"So dear, are you excited about going to Italy in a few days?" mum asked swinging our hands and I nodded.

"Extremely, I can't wait to see Blaise again, its been ages." I said smiling and mum raised an eyebrow.

"Strange, the last time I checked you liked a different boy Samantha," she said and I choked on air and started coughing.

"Woah, woah, woah, I meant that in a friend way mum. Not in that way." I said sticking my tongue out and she chuckled.

"I know dear, I'm only teasing, I know you don't like Blaise." she said with a slight laugh and I laughed a bit too.

"That would be so, weird." Drake said grimacing.

"Yeah that would, he's like a less annoying, cooler, version of you." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"No one could ever be cooler than me." Drake said and mum rolled her eyes.

"There's that family arrogance, don't let that get out of control dear." mum said and Drake sighed a bit and nodded.

"I think arrogance is the only thing we have left in this mudblood infested world," father said and I reduced the urge to growl.

Oh yeah, here's something strange that I should mention, my vampire side's been trying to break out a lot lately. I dunno if it's just because the full moon is coming, since you know it's the height of all magic, or if it's just because I'm getting older. One thing's for sure though, my vampire side could potentially be very dangerous so I can't let it get out.

"Luscius! I will not allow you to talk this way when your own daughter is a muggleborn!" mum said angrily as we approached the resturaunt.

"I will talk about scum in whatever way I wish Narcissa," father all but growled before we walked into the resturaunt. We walked in and were seated at our table which was somewhat away from the front of the establishment. Mum and dad sat at one end and Draco and I opposite of them. I put my menu above my face and motioned for Draco to do the same.

"Are mum and father acting, I dunno, off to you?" I whispered to him and he nodded.

"I thought I was just going bonkers, so you've seen it too?" he asked and I nodded.

"It's rather hard to miss, usually when mum tells father off he doesn't say anything and stops. Not to mention that father's never talked to mum that way before," I said and Draco nodded, his eyes wide.

"I do hope you're discussing something that wouldn't be considered, inappropriate at this point in time," father said and we slowly put our menus down.

"We were just discussing something that happened last year and this summer's homework," I lied easily, hopefully not giving away any traces of a lie.

"I've been meaning to ask you about your homework this summer, has it been easy for you?" mum asked and I nodded.

"Everything is actually really easy, I've already done it all and added extra to what I've done when I can't sleep. I've checked every possible source and all of my answers are correct so I'm good for the rest of the summer." I said and Drake's mouth dropped.

"How did you? I'm older and I still haven't put a dent in it!" he said and I shrugged.

"If you picked up a book once in a while you'd know the anwers," I sang looking at my menu and he half shoved me. I looked at him and he acted as if he did nothing so I shoved him back.

"Enough, figure out what you want to we can order," father said hotly and we stopped and looked back at our menus.

After an extremely long and very uncomfortable dinner, we finally left and began the journey home. We were all quiet as we walked through the town and looked at everything, I think the city becomes even more gorgeous at night. Then again, I just love the night.

"What are you thinking about dear?" mum asked as we started walking along the path to our timeshare house.

"Just, everything. The night, how beautiful the city is, just everything," I said and she smiled.

"I remember when I was your age, I had the same attitude towards life. Samantha, whatever happens promise me that you will never lose that attitude. Don't ever think you're not good enough or life would be better if I'd have done something different, live to live. and never give up on what your heart desires," mum said stopping and taking my hand in hers.

"I won't mum, I promise." I said and sincerely meant it.
