I stood up from the ground and carefully brushed myself off as I was still a bit sore from the cuts even though they were healed. I looked up at the man that was standing in front of me, whose mouth was hanging open and said, "You must be Remus or as you signed my Christmas card R.L., my godfather."
"Yes I am, but how did you....?" he trailed off and instead shook his head. "We'll talk about that once we're inside, there are a few muggles that live around here." I nodded and he took my trunk as I carried Ruby's cage to his house and then inside.
"Alright well, I didn't expect for you to come so soon, your mother told me that you'd be coming by at the end of summer so I didn't really get to finish your room," he said a bit awkwardly while carrying my trunk upstairs.
"I'm sure that whatever you already have prepared will be better than what I'm used to," I said and he smiled a bit.
"Well, this is your room," he said setting my trunk down in the middle of a medium sized room. The room was a lavender color with a few posters and pictures already up, on the left side of the room there was a black bed with dark purple sheets, a gigantantic window on the opposite side of the room, a black wardrobe next to the window, and two doors on the right side of the room. In short, the room was beautiful.
"I-..... It's....." I trailed off setting Ruby's cage down on the bed.
"If you don't like it we can change it," he suggested and I shook my head.
"No no, it's beautiul I love it," I said turning around and facing him. "You don't have a problem with cats do you?" I asked and he shook his head. I let Ruby out of her cage and she stretched and looked around then ran off to some random place in the house.
"Well, come on then, I think we should have a chat in the kitchen," he said leading me out of my room and giving me a short tour of the house as we walked to the kitchen. "Hungry at all?" he asked and I was about to say no until I felt my fangs grow out a tad.
"Actually, do you have anything along the lines of raw meat?" I asked and he gave me a weird look.
"Raw meat? As in," he trailed off.
"I mean like anything that has blood still contained in it," I said and he nodded and gave me a raw steak.
"Mind telling me why you enjoy raw food?" he asked but I just shrugged, let my fangs come out, and consumed the entire thing.
"I don't, it's sort of a thing I have to do in order to live, if you catch my drift," I said showing him my fangs.
"You're a vampire? And a young one at that too, your fangs have hardly grown in," he said tilting my mouth up to see my fangs better.
"Well I am only eleven, I think I was bitten or something I have a scar," I said lifting my hair and showing him the scar on my neck.
"No, if you were bitten then you wouldn't have gotten older from the age you were. You'd have to have been born this way," he said cleaning up the plate I'd just eaten off of.
"Wait so then, where'd this come from?" I asked and he shrugged.
"Who knows, it could be a birth mark," he said sitting next to me at the counter. "But enough of that, I want to get to know my god daughter," he said with a smile.
"Well, my favorite color is purple, I can turn into a bat, I can apparate, this read streak is actually natural now, I can change my appearance, I'm eleven, and my favorite food is ice cream." I said and he laughed a bit.
"What flavor of ice cream?" he asked and I thought for a bit.
"Um, chocolate," I said and he smiled wider.
"That's mine too," he said and I smiled.
"So what can I call you? I mean, so I know my boundaries," I said and he shrugged.
"Call me what you'd like," he shrugged.
"So I can call you Uncle Remus?" I asked and he nodded.
"Of course you can, now tell me more about yourself," he said with a smile and I shook my head.
"Nuh uh, I already told you all about me, I'm a vampire, now you tell me stuff about you," I said and Uncle Remus laughed a bit and smiled.
"Right well, my favorite food is chocolate, I used to be a Gryffindor, I knew you parents at one point, obviously, and I have a bit of a furry problem if you get what I mean."
"You're a werewolf," I said plainly and he looked at me with surprise.
"Now how on Earth did you guess that fast?" he asked.
"I'm not a Ravenclaw for nothing," I shrugged and he smiled.
"You are absolutely adorable, you know that?" He said and I giggled. "Alright well, there's still a bit of light left in the day, what's say you and I go and play a bit on our brooms before bed?" he asked and I squealed and nodded.
"I haven't played all summer, I'd love to!" I said jumping off my chair and running upstairs to grab my broom. I rummaged through my trunk until I found the suitcase with my broom, re-enlarged my suitcase, and took my broom from it. Ah, my Nimbus 2000. We've had some pretty good times old chum.
"Samantha! Are you coming down now?!" Uncle Remus called from downstairs and I stood up and ran out of my room.
"I'm here, can we play now?" I asked and he nodded with a smile on his face.
"Lets go play Sammy."
