The small thump of Nishinoya's feet hitting against the ground echoed in the valley. Yuu hadn't seen a single person in this strange, new, place, and he was beginning to panic thinking of never seeing his family, or anyone he cared about, ever again.
Nishinoya noticed the open valley came to an end with a wall of large trees. Anxiety infested his whole body, he didnt like the look of this forest, he had a horrible feeling about it. However, he hesitantly aproached it.
'The trees could provide cover, I won't be out in the open.' The short boy thought.
The tall trees loomed over Nishinoya, but it was more comforting that he expected it to be. A familiar feeling.
The comforting feeling quickly vanished as screams of terror could be heard, and the vigorous stomping of feet.
Yuu froze in fear. That sound. It was stomach turning. His feet didn't move. The air around him didn't dare move a muscle as well. He bit down on the inside of his cheeks. The taste of iron filled his tastebuds as each step drew closer. Grew louder. He stood in shock. He watched the leaves around him quiver, and a huge foot reached from the sky. He stood awaiting his death.
Time seemed to slow in that moment. Tears dripping off his face, he looked to his left. Running toward him with every bit of energy and strength they had, was Asahi. Nishinoya could see that his friend was yelling at him, waving for Yuu to run, to get out of the way. Yet, Nishinoya couldn't hear anything but the ringing in his ears.
Asahi lunged at his friend. With every bit of power in him he projected off the ground, and grabbed Nishinioya. Successfully, but not gracefully, rolling out of the foot path of the creature. On instinct he ran towards a bush to hide, and covered Nishinoya's mouth. Holding the boy who still hadn't moved.Within an estimated half hour, all screaming and stomping ceased.
Asahi could feel his hand getting more wet as each second passed. He looked down and saw the water running down Yuu's soft, horrified, features. The smaller boy still didnt speak after Asahi removed his hand, he only wept silently in complete and utter fear. Nothing, had scared Nishinoya Yuu as much as that experience just had. Nothing.
The two boys sat in silence for a longer while. Afraid to move. Yet, afraid of what would happen if they stayed.
