Chapter 17: Hey ho, nobodies home.

I'm back :D lez go (I may or may not have forgotten who all is in this book XD)

Ellie's POV (would you guys want me to go back to a different POV every time or no?)

"Okay. Game plan. Any ideas?" Jerome asked as he spread out a giant piece of paper.

"I say we go stealth." Adam replied. I nodded in agreement. Jerome sketched out the buildings.

"Okay. Let's say there is alleyways between all the buildings." He said pushing the paper towards us.

"That's enough where we could split up and take down any zombies in the alleys." I replied.

"Okay. So groups of two would be perfect. We can each take down two alleys." Natalie said standing up. I yawned, still feeling the affect of the medicine. 

"Okay so we need someone to look after Mitch and Ellie. You guys can help, you'll just need one of us to cover you." I rolled my eyes. If I didn't have the medicine in me, i'd be fine. I could tell Mitch was hurting badly, he didn't even try to argue with her.

"Okay. Say we find Tyler. Whats the plan for that?" Jason asked.

"Well since Mitch got more of the cure we could each hold onto one." I suggested.

"Yeah. I think I have enough for us to each have one per group." Mitch said. "Check my bag." He said nodding towards it. Ammy picked the bag up, since she was the closest. 

"Theres about 7 in here." She replied. 

"That's more than enough. Okay. So any other problems with our plan?" Jerome asked scribbling more stuff down. I rolled my eyes and smiled. Jerome's such an organized guy. We really didn't need that written out.

"Ellie?" Ty asked.

"Wha.." I asked snapping out of my daze.

"Okay. Natalie I think you should go with Ellie. She seems too out of it." Adam said.

"Adam you go with Mitch." Ty said. 

"Okay." Adam agreed. He helped Mitch up and we stood in pairs.

"Ammy, Jason?" Natalie asked. They nodded and got up. 

"Ty and me are a team. Heyy buddy!" Jerome said laughing. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay everyone get a vial, knives and be ready. Only use guns if necessarry. We don't want unwanted attraction." Natalie said. I grabbed the vial and Natalie snatched it from me. "If we need to administrate the cure it needs to be quick. You're reflexes arent as good since the effect of the medicine." I rolled my eyes. I can do it just fine...

"If you need help, shoot up." Adam reminded us.

"Okay. Let's kick some ass." Ty said leading us towards the buildings.

Why did Natalie have to be my partner? I mean, she's a good leader. I would rather be with Mitch though...

"Focus." She whispered. I sighed and followed her. I held out my knife ready to strike anything near us. As we walked down the alley our shadows casted a gloomy feel over me. I saw a quick shadow run by and gasped. Was it my imagination? Zombies don't move that fast... "What now?" 

"I saw a shadow... it wasn't a zombie." I replied quietly. 

"Watch my back. Stay back to back now." She said. I turned around so I was facing behind us. I treded lightly so I could hear if anything was sneaking up on us.

"Hold up." Natalie whispered. I stopped and turned to her.

"What?" I asked. She stayed still and I strained my ears to listen.
