Chapter 2: We need to talk.

So apparently you guys like this book from what I read ^^ I am really liking this idea and I already have exactly what I want to go planned in my head.

Ammy's P.O.V.

I sighed quietly as we walked towards the old warehouse. I held my pistol in my hand loosely. I didn't think that there would be many zombies since the apocalypse had just started. Right?

"Hey Ammy. You okay?" Jason asked quietly. I chewed the inside of my lip.

"I guess so..." I mumbled. I rubbed my arm and shivered. Man it was actually pretty cold for being July...

"Here." Jason said taking his jacket off. I smiled at him as he wrapped it around me. He's so sweet...

"Thanks." I replied. We kept walking for a little bit until we came to the gates. I shifted the coat so I could actually put it on.

"That wasn't here a few days ago." Ellie said inspecting the gate. She messed around with the chain and I rolled my eyes.

"Let a pro take a look." I said. I took my hair pin out and tried pick locking it. My clip broke.

"Fuck. Any other plans?" I asked. 

"Up there?" Ty said scanning the top of the fence. He pointed to a clear patch without any barbed wire.

"Boost me." Jason said stepping up the gate.

"I don't think its such a good idea." I argued. Ellie nodded.

"Two people should go." Mitch said.

"I'll go." Mitch said. 

"No. Remember what we said? No more splitting up. We are all going." Ellie retorted. We all boosted the strongest people up and they pulled us up. I dropped down on the other side of the fence bringing my gun up to the door. 

"Do you think anyone's in there?" Adam asked peering through a window. The glass shattered and we all hit the floor.

"Does that answer your question?!" Ellie retorted. What do we do? C'mon think... 

"Watch out!" Ty yelled to Jason. Jason spun around and landed a punch right in some guys nose. Mitch grabbed the guy in a headlock and held the gun to his head.

"Tell your buddies to stop shooting." Mitch growled. He released him from the headlock and the guy darted through the two doors.

"Run!" I yelled as a few of the guys came through the doors. I ran down the left side of the building while the others went to the right. Dammit guys!

"Ammy!" Aeri called spinning around. I turned around and she was hot on my heels.

"Why didn't you stay with the others?!" I asked ducking down and pulling her with me.

"You need cover. The others are doing a loop around of the building so when they come from back there," Aeri said pointing. "We hop over this fence and get the hell out of here." I gulped.

"Okay." I said catching my breath. A few minutes later there was gunshots near us. I peered around the corner and saw Ty run our way. 

"Those guys..." Ty panted. "They captured everyone else. I ran and-" Ty said doubling over. He was gripping his arm.

"Ty did you get shot?" Aeri asked looking at his arm. She pried his hand off and gasped.

"Oh my god. Ammy do you have any medical stuff on you?" She asked taking off her jacket. I got out my knife and cut a piece off the coat for her.
