Chapter 2
"What's it say, what's it say?" Everyone at the table asked.
I didn't want to be snoopy and read the paper so I shrugged my shoulders not knowing what to do.
Arabella grabbed the paper out of my hands to read it.
"Within each girl there's a mystery behind them, they don't quiet know but they soon will. We can't let that happen stop them before they find out." Arabella read the paper.
We looked at each other again confused.
"What is that suppose to mean?" Tess asked.
"Well it's some type of riddle but I wonder who it's talking about." I responded to everyone.
We were looking around to see if the lady came back to give her the note but also more importantly to ask who the girls were.
"What if its just an inspirational quote?" Kali asked.
"Hmmm I don't know maybe the first part but the "we can't let that happen" part doesn't seem like an inspirational quote don't you agree?" I assured her.
"We should go look for her!" Liora said after a while.
"We can't just go looking for her she will know we read the paper." Jadah responded to Liora.
After our discussion about the paper our food came out.
"This pizza like always is delicious Jo." Keighlin said.
We all agreed nodding our heads with half the pizza in our mouth. Keighlin and Ariana's dads are chiefs so they know what good cooking is.
"Okay I agree with Kali now we should do something after this." Stella said back.
"Okay like what?" Liora said looking towards Stella for an answer.
"Movies." Tess said as we looked at her for the answer.
"No we did that Saturday." Arabella said.
I smiled at her and did a small chuckle.
"You girls there. Did you take my note? Give it back come one now!" The older lady from earlier had said running into the restaurant in a frantic motion.
"Sorry we tried chasing after you but you had left already." Loorea answered taking the paper from my hands and handing it to the lady.
"You little brats. Did you read what was on the note?" The lady asked pointing fingers towards all of us.
"We glanced at it." Liora said with her head down.
"It's none of your business what the note said why did you look at it." The lady yelled and at moment everyone had turned to look at us and the commotion we were causing.
"We are sorry we didn't mean to ma'am." Kali said out loud trying to calm the lady down.
"You are just lucky I don't......." And the lady was off storming through the doors just as she came in.
"What was that about?" Beatrice asked.
"Ladies do you girls know her?" Jo asked after the lady left.
"No, she just yelled because we saw a note she left." Loorea said trying to clear everything up.
"Okay everyone doesn't have to look!" Arabella said yelling at the staring eyes that landed on us.
I laughed at her attempt to get people to look away even though it barely worked.
When we finished lunch we decided on going bowling.
"Okay so how are we splitting it up this time?" I asked trying to yell louder than the music blasting.
"How about me, you, Tess, Stella, and Liora." Arabella said out loud.
"So I guess it's me, Loorea, Jadah, Keighlin, Ariana, and Kali on the other team." Beatrice said pointing the girls.
We nodded as we set the game up.
"No that is not fair!" Jadah said as I made a strike.
"How is that not fair?" I asked confused.
"You saw the strike as well as everyone else." I said.
"Yeah but still you jinxed it." Jadah said out loud.
"No she didn't Jadah and the computer says the right thing." Arabella said.
"Dude that was awesome." Liora said.
"Thanks." I said smiling as well as giving her a high five.
Once we were done bowling which was at 4:30 we decided to just head home.
I walked up my steps to my house and was thinking back to when that lady came up to us yelling.
"Hi everyone my name is Evelin Stewart and I would like to give you a message...." I heard as I walked in my house.
"Whoa that's the same lady that yelled at us." I said to myself.
I went to my room and got on my laptop.
"What was her name again? Ivin?
Even? Oh yeah Evelin ummm Stwart? Stewart. Yeah" I said thinking as the computer was loading.
I searched in her name to see what she did.
Evelin Stewart: works to achieve your fairy tail dream.
"That's strange. I should text the girls." I responded in shock and grabbed my phone.
"Hey so that old lady that yelled at us at lunch yeah she's like I don't know it just says she "works to achieve you fairy tail dream" what's that suppose to mean?" I texted all my friends.
"That's weird. I wonder what that means well okay I was texting the girls and we decided to spend the night at your house so we are heading there after dinner." Arabella said.
I didn't usually mind my mom always tells them that they can come over at any time and it doesn't bother me.
After dinner at around 6:30 the girls came over with sleeping bags and pillows, our usual sleep over.
"So how did you know her name?" Liora asked as she walked in.
"I walked in the house and my brother had the tv on and a commercial had her on it. I did research and it said she works to achieve your fairy tale dream." I assured Liora.
"Wonder what that means?" Tess said.
I shrugged my shoulders not knowing how to respond.
*knock, knock* I ran to open the door and I was a tall man standing there.
"Um hi." I said a little low.
"Hello ma'am are you Lana?" He asked.
"Um yeah how do you know me?" I asked.
"Well I am a person that's suppose to help you and you're friends. I cannot tell you exactly who I am but we will meet again." The man said and with that left without another word.
"That was weird." I said turning on my heels and going back to the living room.
"Who was it?" Tess asked.
"It was a umm... A man. He said he knew me and us? He said that I can't know who he is yet but that I soon will find out." I told them.
"Whoa what is going on today?" Ariana asked.
"No clue but I want to find out." I said.
I grabbed my coat, purse, phone and keys.
"Anyone coming?" I asked.
"Where?" Everyone responded at the same time.
"To follow the guy of course." I said.
"What if that's what he wants like he knows that we are going to follow him?" Jadah asked.
"That's a chance I'm willing to take." I said opening the door.
I opened the door to see the guy was slowly walking to his car across the street. He opened his door and got In turning the car on.
I did the same with my friends packing into my car as well as Stella's.
"What do you think he's doing?" Kali asked.
"No clue." I said honestly.
He started to move his car and me living there my whole life I knew a short cut on how to get out of my neighborhood.
I stopped at the stop light that went onto the main road.
"Oh look there he is." Liora said pointing to the car.
I drove onto the main road right after him slowly trying not to be too suspicious.
"Lana this is dumb and a bit creepy just come on." Jadah said.
"Jadah you could have stayed home." I said driving.
After 20 minutes of long and slow driving after him we arrived at this weird building.
"Okay I have to agree with everyone else this is a bit scary what if he is going to find us and kill us." Keighlin said who has watched too many scary movies at this point now.
"Okay okay okay fine you guys stay in the car but I'm going!" I said.
I got out of the car as well as Kali did too.
I shut the door very slowly and quietly to not let the tall man know I was there. Stella and Tess came out and did exactly as we did.
"When we get in whatever we see you cannot scream or shout no one will know we are hear understand?" I said in a hushed tone.
"Keighlin you will drive my car over to the tree and not let anyone see it okay?" I said as well as telling Ariana to do the same.
They did as I told and I opened the door to the building. Within the building was many many doors.
"Don't touch anything." I said quietly.
We kept walking and I heard noises from the room closest too us. I opened the door and within the door was a room full of pictures. I looked in and found nothing it was bizarre that I had heard voices and talking but saw absolutely nothing.
"Lana what are you doing?" Tess asked pulling me out of the door frame.
I gave her a stern look for doing that I was possibly close to finding something. I shut the door anyways and kept walking.
"Do you see that?" I asked pointing to the bottom frame of the door that had blue smoke coming out of it.
"Lana don't go in there." Kali said.
"Shhh." I said.
I creaked the door open very slowly just enough to look in. I saw the old lady, Evelin Stewart, looking within a pot and saying some words.
"The old lady is doing some weird sorcery magic I guess type thing." I said quietly and shutting the door.
"Lana lets go now." Stella said.
They all three pulled me out the door but by that time I was willing to leave.
