Chapter 3

"Let's go anywhere but no home not yet." I said jumping in the car and driving off.
We drove off to the only open 24/7 place I could think of which was a truck drivers gas station that was 10 minutes away from my house.
"Lana what did you see?" Everyone asked as we sat down at a booth big enough for all of us.
"May I have a moment to get out of shock." I said taking a breath.
The whole way here I was replaying what the lady did. It was unrealistic it was unearthly.
"Okay you guys might think I'm crazy but I don't care. The lady, Evelin Stewart, was looking into a big black pot. She was saying some weird words words that were kind of like a foreign language but none I have ever heard before? I guess gibberish and she was saying it into the pot." I said.
"Lana you are just tired and today has been weird okay." Loorea said trying to calm me down.
"Loorea you weren't there you didn't see it!" I said trying to be below a yell.
"Okay I have to admit there was blue fog and smoke and when Lana opened the door it was steamy and I heard a weird noise but I didn't see anything." Kali said trying to support me.
"Guys I feel it has to do with that note she had on her as well as the guy showing up why would he go to the same place with her?" I asked.
"To kill us!" Liora said dramatically.
I was a bit annoyed at this point because no one believed me but mostly because they were making fun of me.
I turned to look away from there chitter chattering and saw the old lady.
"Guys the lady is here." I said looking down at the table.
"Just don't let her see us." Jadah said.
"Hello ladies." Evelin said.
"Hello ma'am." Loorea said.
"I have some apples for you." Evelin said handing each of us an apple.
"Oh thank you." Arabella said.
We each placed the apple on the plate in front of us.
"Ladies don't you take a bit out of that." The tall man had said.
"Oh great Peter why are you here?" Evelin said.
"To save these ladies from poison." Peter said coming near us.
"Believe me now?" I asked in a hushed whisper to the table.
Each girl nodded their heads.
"Peter don't you have somewhere to be better things to do?" Evelin said.
"Evelin you cannot fool anyone don't you hurt these children." Peter yelled.
"Gezz I have had enough yelling and looks from commotion for one day this is just a dream and I'm going home to wake up." I said out loud standing up.
Keighlin pulled me down along with Tess. Both Peter and Evelin gave me a glare.
"Peter my have you grown but still you are the same naive little boy I remember." Evelin said.
"Because you made me grow up when you brought them here!" Peter said throwing his hands up in the air.
"It's not entirely my fault Peter!" Evelin said.
"You were jealous so you brought them here making them forget EVERYTHING!" Peter said.
"Peter if you say one more word I will.."
"You will what? Nothing because you can't, all you have is what you brought and nothin more!" Peter said interrupting her.
"You little brat just go fly off and leave me to do my work." Evelin said.
"Evelin you cannot do that so if you would be so kind you can leave now, please." Peter said.
Evelin looked at him as Peter just smiled and after a look of disgust Evelin finally left.
"So what was that about?" Kali asked breaking the silence all of us out of our daze.
"I'm sorry you girls had to see that" Peter said taking a seat by me.
I looked at him a little weary about their conversation.
"Lana do you remember what I told you?" Peter asked.
I nodded slowly still a little dazed.
"Yeah so?" I asked.
"There's something you guys must know I will not be the one to tell you I can't. Someone very soon will but until then you must take no offering from anyone not even Evelin. Somedays you might not even from me understood? There's some costumes, you can say, that are very detailed where someone can pretend to be others. We will make a code so if I say it you will all know its really me." Peter said.
We all nodded our heads to tell him we understood.
"Just please go home no where else and be careful." Peter said as we stood up.
We walked towards the door and towards the cars.
"Lana are we really going home?" Liora whispered to me.
"Yes, but we are not finished with this conversation." I replied back and opened my door.
We drove to my house and entered.
"Okay who believes me now?" I asked everyone once we shut and locked the door.
"Me!" Everyone said together.
"Good." I said back.
"What was that!" Loorea asked for all of us.
"Um well I have no idea." Stella said.
"Something to do with the people on the note but I don't understand why she would give us the "poison apple" as Peter said." I told them.
"What if its us?" Kali said thinking.
"True I mean they were fighting and every time they said them they looked at us and also they both came up to you today so what if it was us?" Jadah said agreeing with them.
"What would be so awesome about us and what don't they want us to know?" Ariana asked.
"I don't know but I am soon going to find out." I said.
"Lana they said for you to wait until they come to you, or us." Keighlin said.
"I can't just wait we almost died with the dang poison and nobody believed me in fact you guys made fun of me you thought I was making it up. I want to know what people are hiding from us and why Peter "had to grow up because of us" it's really weird." I said being a bit dramatic but still wanting to know.
"Lets just sleep and hopefully the person Peter wants us to meet will come to us by morning." Arabella said.
We all agreed and went to my room to sleep.
--The next morning.--
The next morning I woke up a bit earlier than the other girls. Well if you didn't sleep much is that even called waking up earlier? I didn't sleep much I was too busy thinking of all that happened yesterday. I decided to get up and make breakfast for everyone.
I heard a knock at the door and a little frightened that I was the only one up so opening the door someone could kidnap me or something that Evelin would want happen.
I opened the door to see Peter.
"Hello Lana so about the code. This is really me but after today we will hardly see each other understood?" Peter said.
"Can we just make the code understood? You say that quiet a lot." I said.
"No the evi.... I mean Evelin will know." Peter said.
"Okay fine then what?" I asked.
"Believe." Peter said.
"Believe? Why?" I asked.
"Because soon you will find out the significance for it okay?" Peter said.
"Why do you keep saying soon soon this soon that." I said.
"Because I will come back and see you again the man will tell you the code anyone who says that you can trust understand?" Peter asked.
I was soon growing old of that word.
"Yes." I said.
He then left in a hurry before I could say anything else.
I finished making breakfast and with the smell rising up everyone of my friends decided it was a great time to get up.
"So Peter came by today. He said that the code is believe." I said.
"Believe, why?" Tess asked.
"I don't know I asked and he said I will soon find out." I answered back.
"This is bugging me that I don't know what it is." Arabella said.
" I know what's if it's just that we are to be throned to princes soon?" I asked making a joke and everyone laughing.
"But why would Peter say we made him grow up?" Kali asked.
"I don't know." I said.
