"Tell me if there are any cute boys on set."
-Elizabeth-
That very day, my best friend Bella had came over.
Believe it or not, we've been best friends since before preschool.
We had each other's back from the beginning.
And although we can get into some arguments at times, I could never ask for a better best friend."Sooooo did they tell you anything yet?" Bella asked as she followed me into my room.
"No, they didn't. It takes time." I sighed, laying down on my white sheeted bed.
"I'm sure you'll get it." Bella 'matter-of-factly' stated.
"You really think so?" I asked.
We were both now laying down, looking up at the cream colored ceiling.
"I know so." She replied.
Bella had always been such a 'positive-self-and-others-talk' kind of person.
"How do you do it?" I asked, now fully looking at her.
"Do what?" She looked Down at me, confused.
"Do you. You're always so positive and 'look on the bright side' and you always make people smile. How do you do it?" I explained, before turning my attention back to the ceiling.
"Oh, well it's not always easy Liz. I mean, even I sometimes need a little positive self talk. You know, to cheer me up? That's why I have my mum. She always helps. Anyways, you don't have to try so hard to be positive. It can come naturally. " she stated as she was throwing her hands all over.
She was that kind of person who basically talked with their hands.
"I wish it would come naturally for me." I mumbled.
I could tell that Bella heard that, from the sad expression on her face.
I mean, yes I'd get overly sad at times, but never have I ever thought about harming myself.
And I don't plan to, either.
Bella's face expression changed into excitement as she changed the subject.
"Tell me if there are any cute boys on set." She winked, causing us to both engage in fits of laughter.
"Wow. Always happy, and gets all the guys." I laughed, nudging her.
"What can I say? It comes naturally." She smirked.
I playfully rolled my eyes and smiled.
-
No matter how happy Bella made me, we realized that she would soon have to go home.
"Don't worry about the exception letter too much, okay?" Bella said as we walked downstairs to the door.
"I'll try not to. Thanks Bella." I smiled.
She returned the smile, and after we said our goodbyes, she was soon out the door.
I sighed as I went back Upstairs into my room.I was sort of bored, so I felt as though I'd just read for awhile, considering it was getting late anyways.
I went over to my bookshelf and scanned through the books.
I had already read Stephen King's IT more than once, but to me it never got old.
I mean, not that I auditioned for the remake, it just seems even more interesting.
I slid the thick book off of the shelf and laid in my bed reading it from the beginning. As an hour went by, I felt my eyelids start to feel heavy.
And before you know it, I was drifting into a deep sleep.
-
I awoke to the sound of birds chirping and the sun shining into my room, once again.
I grabbed my phone from my bedside table and decided to click onto the Instagram icon.
As I was scrolling through my feed, something that was posted by the official IT movie caught my eye.3,229 likes.
@officialitmovie casting is finished! Thank you to all of you amazing, talented actors who auditioned and a very special thank you to our new cast! Can't wait to start this incredible journey. They already casted?
And I didn't get an email.
"I knew I wouldn't get the-" a ding! Sound from my laptop had cut me off.
I hurried over to my desk and opened my laptop to see that I had gotten a..
Email?
An email?!
I clicked on it as fast as I could, scanning through it.
As I read throughout the letter, my eyes widened.
I couldn't believe it.
I got the part...
I got the part?!
I got the part!!
I couldn't say anything, only think it.
Squeals escaped my mouth as I quickly called Bella.
Bella answer Bella Bella Bella.
I bit my bottom lip as the phone was ringing.
"Hello?" Said Bella from the other side.
"BELLA! OHMIGOD GUESS WHAT?!" I screeched.
"Wha- WAIT. Did you-"
"YEAH! I GOT THE PART! BELLA I GOT THE PART!"
Bella started squealing and screaming as much as I was doing.
Soon my mom and dad rushed into the room.
"Is everything ok?!?" My mum asked.
I guess I kind of forgot about the yelling and stuff.
"Yes! Duh! Everything is better than fine! Guys I got the part!" I said excitedly.
Their expressions went from worried, to proud.
"Aw i Knew my baby could do it!" My mom said.
"I never doubted ya kid." My dad winked.
"My baby's a star!" My mom excitedly stated, following dad downstairs to make breakfast.
I guess my older brother, Mike, heard that because he ran into my room.
"So, I hear you're a star now?" He smirked, fist bumping me.
"Well I wouldn't say star." I giggled.
"I'm proud of ya kid." Is what he said before smiling and exiting the room.
Michael was someone that I could always count on, besides Bella.
He was obviously overprotective because he was my big brother, but he made sure I was safe. It sure was good to know that if any boy ever broke my heart, Mike would be there in the matter of seconds.
-
I happily sighed, flopping down onto my unmade bed.
This is so crazy.
