Blue stepped out of the capsule first, looking around to see if everything was safe. She didn't know why she had volunteered herself for this job, for all she knew cannibals might have existed in the 15th century or they could have been magically transported to Antarctica. Who knew how fucked up Ronan's head could be? With that thought going through her head, she looked around, taking in her surroundings - a work table, papers sprawled all over it and what seemed to be different parts that one would need for building something. She thought it unlikely that some of them would be invented in early 15th century.
"Jane?" Gansey called, from inside the capsule "What do you see?" She struggled to describe it to them:
"There is a sort of big work desk," she said wondering how she could be more specific, "The top is around the size of the Henrietta model you have, Gansey." That was good, she thought with satisfaction.
"What else?" Adam asked from behind Gansey.
"There are papers all over the desk," Blue said, unsure how to give more detail, "And the writing on the papers seems complicated and not like something they would have in the 15th century."
"There are also a bunch of parts that make me think that whoever lives here is an inventor of some sort," She continued carefully, "They are also very 15th century unlike."
"Is it safe, though?" Gansey asked, voice hushed.
"Seems like it," Blue said trying to sound confident while feeling not very confident at all. She stepped away from the exit of the capsule so that the rest of the crew could exit. As the boys piled out, they stared around the room, first in awe, then in confusion. Then they turned to Ronan,
"Care to explain, Lynch?" Adam asked, looking annoyed.
"I don't," Ronan replied shortly.
"You should," Blue said, agreeing with Adam, "you said it would take to the 15th century, right? You said Glendower would still be alive? Well, this doesn't look much like the 15th century to me."
"I said I think it will take us to the 15th century, Sargent," Ronan replied, "I don't know how that thing works," he nodded towards the capsule, "I don't what the hell it is supposed to do, Cabeswater gave it to me and I took it. The trees said it should help."
"Don't you think you should have told us that before we used it?" Blue was getting angry now, "Don't you think a warning would have been nice?"
"Everyone calm down," said Gansey, using his Richard Gansey III voice, "It makes no sense to fight now, we're already here." Blue opened her mouth to say something that would probably get Gansey to shut up, but, suddenly, the door opened and two men came in. One with spiked hair and a coat on, the other with red hair and a gleeful look on his face. Both men were dressed as if they were going to a costume party, the theme for which may have been late 19th century. Blue thought she knew where Ronan's cursed "time machine" had carried them to. Great job Lynch, she thought to herself bitterly.
