The awkward silence was filling the room. Toxicating the air as they both found it difficult to breathe.
But she took a breath.
And told him everything. About her grief, about her loss, about her feelings, about her mask as he silently listened. Drinking every word in as if it were the elixir to life itself.
And soon he began to understand her more. And soon his curiosity about her for the past three months had revealed itself as love.

As she poured her heart out to him she also couldn't help but take in his breathtaking beauty. His hair wasn't a bright blonde anymore, but a chestnut brown. And his eyes sparkled more than ever.
And he understood her.
He understood everything about her.
And that was enough to make her fall in love with him too.
