Famous? I Don't Care

Chapter 3

~~THE NEXT DAY~~

Chloe's POV

I woke up and decided to take ANOTHER shower. After what happened yesterday my hair feels so ughh. I know I sound a bit selfish or something but my hair is the only thing about me that I like. I'm really insecure about myself since I have been bullied most of my life. Until I met Andrea, I was able to finally be myself. Ever since my ex best friend left me I began getting bullied more often than before but Andrea helped me out. I also had a little bit of feelings for him. But he just left one day leaving me broken.

~~FLASHBACK~~

"Hey Chloe!" He said

"Hey." I said. I examined him and he seemed a bit nervous.

"What's wrong?" I ask him.

"YOU!" he yelled.

"What?" I said confused. I felt like I was going to cry.

"YOUR the PROBLEM!!" he yelled at my face.

"What did I do?"

"You are an annoying girl. You don't defend yourself when you get bullied. And who's there to defend you?!? That's right ME!!" he yelled.

I couldn't hold it any longer so I begin pouring my eyes out.

"I'm tired of all this shit! People are bothering me now because of you. Saying that I'm practically your dog for always defending you!! And I'm tired! I never want to see you again!!" He yelled and I began running away.

I ran and ran home until I completely lost it and fell down. I was a complete mess. I was on the ground and began bursting into tears.

That was the worst day of my life but it was also one of the best days of my life. That day was the day I met Andrea.

~~FLASHBACK~~

I was on the ground bursting into tears with my head buried into my hands. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Hi. What's wrong?" the girl asked with worry in her voice.

"Nothing. I'm okay. " I said and looked at her.

"Come on you can tell me." Her eyes softened as she examined my face.

I began explaining everything to her. From me being bullied to what happened earlier today. I have no idea why I was explaining everything to this girl that I recently just met. But there was something about her that made me feel safe, special, and me.

"I'm so sorry. And you probably feel awkward telling me all of this when you recently just met me." She began laughing. I was sort of... happy how she knew what I was thinking.

"Well my name is Andrea. I'm 12 years old. I just moved here today and I'll be a new student at Valley View Middle School. And you?"

"I'm Chloe. I'm also 12. And I also go to Valley View Middle School." I was excited to be meeting a new friend... I hope she'll be my friend and won't turn her back on me like the others.

"THAT'S GREAT!!" she began jumping around. "Maybe you can show me around I have my schedule at home. Hopefully we'll have classes together. You wanna go check? It's just around the corner."

"Yeah sure. I live just around the corner too. So let's go!" I got up and wiped away all the tears.

We both began running. For once I felt like me.

We became best friends almost immediately. We had the same classes and turns out she's my neighbor.

She was always there for me, and she never turned her back on me. One day she also began getting bullied, and out of no where I had this confidence to stand up for her, even though she didn't need me to. I guess the thought of seeing my best friend getting bullied because of me gave me the confidence to defend her. Or the thought that I could lose another friend. I also stopped getting bullied. I stopped caring and began defending myself, so they just backed off. I felt confident around Andrea. I had the confidence I always needed.
