Liam's POV

I woke up from a strange noise coming from the kitchen. I slowly walked down the stairs and once I finally reached the bottom floor I heard some drawers slam. At first I thought I was just imagining things from watching to many scary movies, but I could have sworn I heard some footsteps. I carefully edged around the corner, my heart pounding out of my chest as I tried to quiet my heavy breathing.

It couldn't have been the guys or the girls, it's already midnight and they're all fast asleep. It dawned on me that I was probably about to run into a stranger that broke into the house. But before I had anytime to react and prepare myself for the stranger...

*wham!*

...something small, cold, and hard hit my shoulder than my face and head as it swung on me. I reached into the darkness from where it seemed the object was coming from. I grasped onto something that felt like a spoon.

"Ahhhhhh! I heard someone scream.

"Ahhhhhh!" I screamed back and threw the spoon.

I quickly walked over to the light-switch and turned them on. Once I did I found Chloe standing there with a guilty look on her face.

"I-I-I-" she stuttered." I'm so sorry I thought someone broke into the house and I panicked. I'm sorry I hit you." It looked like she was trying not to cry and looked down at her feet.

My shoulder and head was hurting since she hit me with a spoon, really hard. But all I cared about and wanted to do was make sure she was okay.

"What are you doing?" I asked as she began to walk away.

"I-I'm gonna get some ice to slow down the swelling, sit down."

Swelling? I looked at my shoulders and I saw bruises. I also felt my head hurting.

She grabbed ice and put it in a bag with a damp cloth.

"Here just stay still. Where else did I hit you?" she whispered as she gently put the ice on my shoulder.

"I hit you more than once so just tell me where I hit you so I can put more ice on." I then pointed to my forehead and she carefully placed it where a bruise was already forming.

I winced as I felt it on me. "I'm sorry." I saw her lips tremble.

I heard many footsteps coming down the stairs. Everyone was now awake.

"What the hell?" Louis said once he saw me and began rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

Chloe immediately pulled away. "I-I'm so sorry. It was me..." She mumbled.

"Liam did Chloe beat you up?!?" Harry laughed and threw his head back.

"I thought someone broke into the house. I thought everyone was asleep and well I might have hit him with a...spoon." She whispered the last word.

"With a what? You hit him with what?" Louis asked after not hearing her.

"I said I might have hit him with a...spoon. It was the closest and only thing I had so I used it." She looked down at her feet and there was a moment of silence. Suddenly everyone burst into laughing.

"A spoon? You hit Liam, one of the most wanted boys, with something he's extremely terrified of."

Her eyes widened. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. I didn't know you were terrified of spoons. I-" I cut her off.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it. You didn't know I was terrified of them." I assure her. I already felt bad about her when I realized how foolish she felt when she hit me with a spoon. Now that she knows about my phobia, obviously made her feel more guilty.
