Twist of fate

Chapter 3

Silence engulf the room . 

Both Midorima and Tsukiko just stare at each other without uttering a single world . What's more intriguing is that both them stare with and expression that is not readable by the other occupant of the room .

Kasumi was worried . Why arent they saying anything ? Plus the silence that was engulfing them , it wasn't akward , It was definite uncomfortable to bear with . To be exact it was a heavy silnece . Kasumi can feel the tension in the room .

After what its seems like infinity , the one who break the silence was the director 

" eto .. is there a problem here ?" ask the diractor worrily 

With that both Midorima and Tsukiko snapped back into reality .

" No. I was just . . . stunned " said Midorima 

" same here " said Tsukiko 

" Oho ! I can understand that one , Midorima-san . My daughter here is a rare beauty ! " laugh the Director 

while Midorima gave him a faint smile 

" I'll take that as compliment " said Tsukiko

After the meeting , Midorima went back to his office . He sat on his chair with face that tells that he did not expected to meet her ... again after 10 years 

" Why ?" said Midorima as he burried himself in his palm .

Tsukiko was awfully quiet as she walk herself through the hallway 

" ne Tsukiko-chan .. is there something bad happen between you and Midorin" ask Kasumi , worried 

"no." Tsukiko reply 

" then what's up with the silence ? " ask Kasumi again 

".... " 

" ne , you know you can always tell me anything" said Kasumi

" It's nothing. I assure you" said Tsukiko

It's not that she didn't want to tell her , its just that she wasn't ready . She always leave the past behind . Never to look back . Now , by meeting him again by pure coincidence .. it's the same as facing back her past and she never liked it . It shows her weakness . That's why she didn't know how to react when she saw him . Eventhough years has past , no matter how many times she tries to forget ,no matter how hard she denies it or avoiding it , deep inside her heart , she knew that she was still hoping for him . She still keep that same feeling for him . Still holding onto that fragile promise he told her .
