Twist of fate

chapter 19

Both Midorima and Takao rushed to Kasumi's apartment when they know that Tsukiko had gone missing . 

" Have you try contacting her cellphone ? " asked Midorima 

" Yes but its unreachable. Im worried . She said that wasn't feeling well. What if something happen to her along her way home ?" said Kasumi 

" Darn it . I should have send her home instead " said Takao 

" Let's split up and search for her around the area ." said Midorima 

Wit that all 3 of them split up and search for Tsukiko in places where she is most likely to be .

Midorima search into all kind of places . The Takoyaki stall . The playground . The bookstore . Even at some dark alley . He serached almost everywhere but the was no sign of Tsukiko anywhere 

" Where is she ? " said Midorima through his pants before continue on running searching for her . 

Many thoughts come into his mind . So many - What if - question lingers in his head . Yet none of it can be answered . He was worried . 

What if something bad happen to her ? 

What if .. he can never see her again ? 

What if .. he'll lose her forever ? 

If that were true , wouldn't it be that the last memories he had with her were all sad ? It never occurred to him before . He never thought of it . He promised her that he will never let her go . Yet what had he done ? He had made her cry .. breaking her heart .. 

" Tsukiko .. " 

He never thought that the thought of losing her alone would hurt so much . He shouldn't have push her away like that . 

" ne Shin-chan did you found her ? " asked Takao through the other side of the phone 

" no.Im still looking for her . " said Midorima 

" Maybe we should call the police ." Takao suggested 

" Please ... give me some time . " said Midorima 

" but ..Shin-chan .. " 

" Im begging you .. please allow me to search for her . " pleaded Midorima 

" allright . Just 30 minutes . More than that we're calling the police " said Takao 

" ah . ." said Midorima before hanging up . 

He can only hope that she is fine and unharmed .

Midorima run aimlessly . Hoping to find the person his heart longed for . He keep on searching never to give up until he reached a river bank . 

" Tsukiko ... where are you ? " 

He wanted to see her . He wanted to see her smile again . Midorima was on verge of crying. His tears were tempting to fall . Midorima screamed on top of his lungs as if trowing his frustration towards himself . 

He knew he had been running away from his feeling . He knew he was breaking her heart because it break his too. He knew he was all to blame . 

" Tsukiko ... " he was about to burst into tears . 

If you are safe ..please ... let me found you .. - was all he wished for 

" Shin-chan ? " 

That voice ... It was too familiar to him . he turned towards the source and he hardly could believe his eyes . Just a moment ago he was wishing for her and now there she is . Standing . 

" Why are you staring at me like that ? oh .. sorry .. I was suppose to call you Midorima-sensei " said Tsukiko , though it hurts her heart yet she still manage to put on a smile. 

Midorima moved closer towards her .

" Midorima ? " said Tsukiko

Midorima was standing very close to her . His hand started to reach out to her face and started to carases as if to comfirm himself that he wasn't dreaming and it was Tsukiko standing infront of him 

" It is you " muttered Midorima 

" Of course it's me ..what kind of statement is that? .. " 

. His knees were feeling weak . Having to energy to fight it , he quickly falls and sat onto the ground . 

" What's wrong ?" Tsukiko ask , worried . She quickly sat down right infront of him .

Midorima suddenly pulled her into an embrace .Burried his face on her shoulder .  A soft sobs can be heard from him 

" Shin-chan ... " Tsukiko notice his soft cry and started to rub his back , try to calm him down . 

" I thought ... I'd lost you ... I thought .. I ... can never see you again " said Midorima in between sobs 

" Shin-chan .. " 

" I .... I'm sorry . I'm sorry .. Please don't leave me , Tsukiko . please ... I can't live without you " Midorima begged . 

" silly .. Im not leaving anywhere .." said Tsukiko 

" I'm sorry . .. I was lost in jelousy .. that I take it out on you . " 

" jelous ? why ? " 

" Shiraishi ... It's just ... " 

" really ..Shin-chan " Tsukiko let out a soft giggle 

" please dont hate me for it ... " said Midorima . 

" look here .. " said Tsukiko as she pushed Midorima so that their face are facing one another . 

Tears are still visible in his eyes . To see him cry , he must have really meant what he said . 

" I can never hate you . " said Tsukiko as she tries to wipe of his tears with her fingers 

" and you don't have to worry about Shiraishi either . We were best friends and that's all . My heart is yours to begin with " Tsukiko added 

How ? How can he break her heart whe she was soo kind ? Why did he had doubt in the first place ? how could he ? Tears continue to flow down his eyes . 

" I won't let you go .. not anymore" said Midorima as he pulled her into another embrace 

" I love you "  he confessed
