Twist of fate

chapter 9

It has been 2 days since Tsukiko has recovered from her fever . Now she's back to her work looking happy as ever . 

" hmm ..time for lunch ! Time to get Tsukiko ! " jumped Kasumi happily as she walked towards the lab where she most probably find her. Much to her chagrin , Tsukiko was no where to be found in the Lab . Kasumi went to the corpse booth , hoping to find her there but she wasn't there as well . 

" where could she be ? ? hmm " said Kasumi deep in thought 

" Yo ! Kasumi-chan ~~ " said Takao in his happy go lucky tone 

" Oh , Takao . Have you seen Tsukiko anywhere ? " asked Kasumi 

" no . Have you seen Shin-chan anywhere ? " 

" no . I haven't " 

" gee ... I guess I'll just have a lunch date with Kasumi-chan then" grinned Takao 

" In your dreams " 

" eh ?? but we can have lunch together no?" said Takao putting his best puppy dog eyes face 

" only because Tsukiko isn't here " 

" yay ! " chered Takao 

Both Kasumi and Takao made their way the cafeteria . When they arrived there , they could not believe their eyes . Not because of the food .. its sight that were presented infront of them . Both Tsukiko and Midorima were having lucnh together . Happily enjoying each other presence . The once silent heavy atmostphere exited before actually vanished like it was never there . 

" ne Kasumi-chan .. I think we to cancel our date" said Takao 

" Since when it was a date ..but I do have to agree with you " said Kasumi

30 minutes earlier , Tsukiko was inside the lab when someone enters .

" Shin-chan ? " Tsukiko was surprised to see Midorima 

" I was in the area , so ,, I decided to drop by" said Midorima as he look away . Tsukiko noticed the little pink hue at his face 

" soka .. " Tsukiko smiled . She knew that's not the reason why he was there . His department was quite far from her's . Not to mention he's a clinical doctor and clinical doctors rarely stepped inside the lab. Whatever his reason maybe , she was happy . 

" you ... your fever has gone right ?" he asked rather shyly 

" em .. you don't have to worry anymore . " said Tsukiko 

" Please don't overwork yourself" said Midorima 

" hai . . " 

" I was ...wondering .. " 

" yes ? " Tsukiko looked at him 

" would you like to have lunch with me ? " His face was red and he couldn't look at her directly in the eyes . Such Tsundere-ness 

Tsukiko involuntary blushed herself . Her heart was beating fast - she feels like a high school girl talking to her crush ..wait .. she was in that kind of situation . 

" sure . I'd love too "

At the cafe , both of them have a light chat together . It was enjoyable until ... 

" Shin-chan ~~ I was looking everywhere for you ! I didn't thought you were with Tsuki-chan" said Takao as he sat next to Midorima 

" I happen to be at her department .." said Midorima with a blush on his face 

" eh ~ really now .. why would a clinical doctor do in Tsuki-chan's department? " said Takao grinning 

" that's ... " Midorima knew that he was cornered . He couldnt run away from him. 

" really Tsukiko , I didn't think you would have a lunch date with Midorin " said Kasumi 

" d..date ? wait .. you got it wrong .. Shin-chan and I aren't in that kind of relationship" 

" what Tsukiko said is true .. it's not what you think " said Midorima while pushing up his glasses 

" Shin-chan and Tsukiko eh .... since when did you two get so fuzzy up and started calling each other first name?" grinned Kasumi 

With that remark , both Midorima and Tsukiko couldn't say anything except blushing . Kasumi and Takao grinned victoriously . It's fun to tease these two ..their reaction are just too priceless .
