When you came into my life you rescued me. In a way I never thought possible. A month before I was in the hospital. I wouldn't of imagined finding the love of my life soon.
You rescued me. Like a lifeguard rescuing a drowning swimmer. You came into my life and picked me up as everything was consuming me. And you looked into my eyes with yours and laid your lips on mine and you consumed me.
You rescued me. When I gave myself to you in the most intimate way possible. And I felt my ugly soul yearning for the darkness again as I opened up the curtains of my life to you.
But you didn't see an ugly soul. You saw a beautiful broken girl who, despite being broken, was perfect for you. You loved me in every way possible.
You rescued me by giving me my beautiful little girls. Our daughters. You've stuck by my side ever since the test came out positive, and I can't explain how grateful I am.
We have fought, oh how we have fought. Our relationship has been ugly before too. Like every relationship has. But I'm happy we fought for each other, I'm happy we fought for our family.
