Chapter Two

"Attention we will be landing in Los Angeles California in five minutes. Please stay seated until the plane as landed fully, Thank you!"

I woke up the sound of the assistant on the speaker. I fell asleep a few hours into the flight. All that moving out got me worn out.

Once the plane landed, my family and I took our belongings and exited the plane. "Wow, it's beautiful here." I said in amazement. "See I told you you would love it. And this is just the beginning. Wait till you actually get a good look around." My father said happily. We didn't really have any suitcases on us, since all our stuff was being shipped to the house. Omg I'm exited to see our new house. Although I am sad to leave my home, I feel like this will be a fresh start for me. "Lacy! Come on we're going to miss the bus!" My mom said hurriedly. "Coming." I said.

We made our way to the bus and it dropped us off a few blocks away from our destination. Our new house! We finally made it to this white and bricked house. It has a checkered pathway leading to the entrance. "Is this ours?" I asked my parents "It sure is."  My mom said. "Wow, I mean.. just wow!" I said looking at this wonderful house. It's not quite a mansion and it's not quite a regular size house. It's just the perfect size! We finally made it to the front door. "Ready to see our new house?" My dad said taunting us, holding the key in the air. "Yes, come on open the door!" I said, anxious to see what was behind it.

The door opened up and we all walked in. This house is really nice, I will admit. But I am missing my old home a lot. I guess I just have to get used to this.

"Alright Lacy, go pick out ur room!" My mom said in excitement. I ran upstairs and found this really nice room. It even had a balcony and my own bathroom? Yup this is room is the one!

I started to unpack what I brought in my small bag. We already had our furniture in the house. My dad flew out and helped place the furniture before we all moved. He did this so we can settle in easier. After I unpacked the small amount of things I brought with me, I laid on my bed. I went to go on my phone, but only to find a black screen. Welp, better charge my phone. I plugged my phone in and headed to see the view from my balcony. I could see the beach in the horizon.

"Lacy!" I was taken out of my daze by my mother calling my name. "Yes?" I said walking out of my room. "Get ready darling, we're going to go out to eat." My mom said. "Okay mom, just give me a few minutes." I said running back into my room. Hmmm what to wear. I looked at the few things I had with me in the moment. I decided on wearing a white skirt and a pink flowery shirt. My hair was in a pony tail and I just put on some lipstick. I put on my black converse and I walked down stairs. My parents were waiting on the couch. "Ready to go?" My father asked. "Yup!" I said.

Since we didn't have our car at the moment, we walked to this small diner near our house. It was around 5 o'clock. We entered and and the waitress took us to our seats. I ordered a salad with some water, while my parents ordered chicken with coke. After we ate we made our way back home. It was now around 6:30 pm.

I didn't really know what to do and to be honest I was kind of tired. I decided to take a nice warm shower. After I took a shower I changed into my Pjs. This consisted of my shorts and tank top. I braided my hair and then went to check my phone. I realized I got put into a group chat from my friends back at home.

Lacy we miss you already! 😭
Oliver: Yeah, I can't believe you had to move away!
Casy: We all should video chat soon!
Amanda: Yes we should.
Lacy: Hey guys! I miss you too! And totally!
Amanda: Lacyyyy!!!
Lacy: Haha hi Amanda
Lacy: How are you guys doing so far back in ny?
Oliver: Good I guess
Casy: Yeah we just miss u, but other than that it's New York! The city that never sleeps lol.
Lacy: lol oh Casy
Lacy: What time is it for u guys?
Amanda: 5 pm, wbu?
Lacy: 8 pm
Lacy: Well guys imma go get ready for bed. I'm tired, it was a busy day. Good Night!

I put my phone in the charger and placed it on my night stand. I went to my bathroom to brush my teeth. After I was finished I went to say good night to my parents. "Good Nigh mom! Good Night dad!" I yelled from my bed room door. "Good Night!" They yelled back in unison.

I went into my bed and went to sleep right away.
