Chaper Three

I woke up to the sun shining on my face. I shifted in my bed. This was so comfy, I didn't feel like getting up. I wonder what time it was. I reached for my phone and pressed the home button. It was 9 am. I finally got out of my bed and headed for my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face.

As I was walking down the stairs I smelled something cooking. It smelled really good! I wonder what it was? "Hey mom" I said entering the kitchen. "Good morning sweetheart, how did you sleep?" My mother asked as she was cooking. "Good! What are you making?" I asked curious to know what this smell was. "Waffles!" My mom said. "Yes! I love waffles! When did you guys get the groceries tho?" I asked in confused as we didn't have any food once we got here. "Oh your father went out and got some groceries." My mom said. "Oh, where is he right now?" I asked my mom. "He went to go meet up with this boss. He starts working tomorrow." My mom said kind of disappointed. "Okay" I said not knowing what else to say. I mean we did move here because of his job.

A few minutes later, a plate of waffles with strawberries, blueberries, chocolate, and wiped cream, stood in front of me. My mouth watered at how good this looked. I dug in right away. My mom soon joined me at the table. "Today all our luggage and the car are supposed to come." My mother said. "Finally!" I thought, thankful that all our stuff will be here soon.

As soon as I finished eating. I went up stairs to change. I changed into black shorts and a purple flowy shirt. It has the word "love" written on it. I decided
to leave my wavy hair down. I put on my flip flops. I decided to go on a walk.

"Hey mom, do u mind if I go out and explore a little?" I asked. "Sure sweetie, just be careful and have your phone with you!" My mom said worriedly. "Okay mom I will, thank you!" I said. "And don't be out to late" she also said. "Alright mom I won't" I said as I made my way to the door. I stood outside contemplating where I wanted to go. I think I'm going to go explore near the beach. As I'm walking I see people riding biking, friends laughing together, families enjoying their day. Everyone seems so happy. I'm pulled out of my thoughts when a soccer ball hit my foot. I look up and see this cute guy walking towards me. I instantly froze. He was walking up to me and I just stood their. "Hey, I'm really sorry, are you okay?" The mystery man said. "Uh ye-eah, I'm fine." I said hesitating. I pick up his ball and give it to him. "I think this belongs to you." I said handing him the ball, looking into his deep blue eyes. "It does, thank you" he said. He was about to walk away, but then turned back suddenly. "Hey uh I've never seen you around, are you new here?" He asked curiously . "I am actually, I just moved here yesterday" I said smiling. "Hey yo hurry up with that ball" one of his friends said. The mystery man looked back and held up 1 finger as to tell them hold on. "Well uh my friends are waiting it was nice meeting you, uh..." "Lacy" I said. "Jake" he said smiling. "See you around" Jake said.
"See you" I said and I started to walk away, watching him jog back to his friends. Well that was something.
He was pretty nice. I wonder if I'll see him again. His light brown hair and muscular body was stuck in my thoughts the whole time I was walking.

I walked around for a while and explored. It really is beautiful here our in Cali. I decided to go back home even though it's still pretty early. I kinda just feel like chilling at home. "I'm home mom" I said to let my mom know I'm back. I decided to just lay on the couch and watch some T.V.
