Now that we know the Locations and the basics of Camp Half Blood, let's get to some of the important stuff, how do you join Camp Half Blood? and what are the rankings and other important things?
Joining Camp Half Blood:
The System for joining Camp Half Blood is rather simple. Once the demigod turns 12 years old, they are fetched by a Satyr (No, not another Demigod, not Percy) and taken to the Big House, once they're admitted. If they aren't claimed immediately or until the bonfire that night, they're taken to the Hermes Cabin temporarily, until they're claimed by their Godly Parent, then they move out of the Hermes cabin and into their Godly Parent's cabin with their siblings.
Camp Half Blood Ranks:
Camp Half Blood doesn't have any complex ranking system like Camp Jupiter, but there are two Basic Ranks. The two ranks being:
-Camper
-Head Councilor
Camper:
A Camper is your average Demigod who joins Camp Half Blood, and are the most common, and they can often be found helping out around the camp or defending it during battle, and either leaves the camp for home during school time or remain behind at Camp if they don't want to leave or have any place to go.
Head Councilor:
Similar if not the same as a Camper, they're normally one of your average demigods who join Camp Half Blood and are seen helping out or defending the camp during battle. Though there is one major difference that separates the Head Councilor from the Campers. The Head Councilor is the leader of their perspective Cabin, and are either chosen by their cabin mates or inherited the position by being the oldest out of their cabin mates. The Head Councilors handle all the planning that goes into activities, maintenance and important situations including Quests.Quests:
Well, talking about Quests, what are quests exactly? well, Quests are expeditions taken by a group of demigods to retrieve a certain artifact or complete a certain objective. These are really rare and not all the demigods come back alive, as almost all quests are really dangerous due to monster attacks, supply shortages and run ins with mythological creatures.
Satyrs:
Now, onto another important thing vital to the Percy Jackson Canon, Satyrs. Now, If you don't know what a Satyr is(well, if you're reading PJO and you don't, shame on you and your family), a Satyr is the half man half goat mythological companions of Dionysus, and are generally known to sniff out Monsters and Demigods. So, if you're questioning why there aren't any Demigods escorting you to Camp Half Blood, and instead get these handy little guys, there's a perfectly logical reason. Satyrs are sent into towns and cities to sniff out Demigods, something other Demigods can't do at all, now, once Satyrs sniff out a demigod, they are to escort said demigod to Camp Half Blood where they'll be admitted. Their sense of smell isn't just important for that reason, but another reason as well. Unlike Demigods, Satyrs can smell out monsters before it's too late, so they can get the new demigod out of the monster's way safely. Whereas another Demigod would encounter the monster when it reveals itself and have to fight it off, potentially risking not only their own life but the life of the new demigod. The reason why Satyrs are used for this job is because they can find demigods quicker and escort them safely.
Now, that we went through the important stuff with joining Camp Half Blood. Alot of people make mistakes here, but if you learn these well, you'll be able to prevent these rather quickly
After all, these are another that makes Camp Blood well...Camp Half Blood
this system is another one of those things that makes Camp Half Blood unique
After all, this ain't just your average little summer camp that your parents drive you to
So, I hope you guys enjoyed this rather short and rather early chapter
(Damn, two early Chapters in a row 0_0)
But as always my fellow Demigods
Have a great day and stay awesome!
(definitely trying to keep up this early chapter streak for you guys)
