13 | the flower of weddings

"You did an amazing job, Alessandra!" Jessica complimented as she wrapped her arms her best friend, Alessandra. The brunette felt jitters roam around her body as her foot tapped against the ground, her anxiety getting the better of her. She laughed softly at Jessica's compliment.

"Thank you. I just hope Bella liked it."

"Liked it? She loves it," Mike said, and Alessandra smiled, giving them all a hug as she looked around the venue that she planned for months. The wedding was hosted in the Cullen's backyard. Alessandra had gone all out with the decorations.

"Do you think it's too much?" Alessandra asked as the group of five all gazed at the five-tier cake that Alessandra designed on her own. It was a vanilla cake with white fondant around it along with lines of white edible roses that made it look elegant. 

"Nope." They all burst out laughing, all of them knowing that the brunette had gone above and beyond with the whole wedding.

"I love your dress, by the way." The brunette smiled and gave them a twirl, giggling slightly. Alessandra wore a low v-cut beige dress with strawberry blonde sequences glued all over it. It reached her midthigh, and she paired it off with a pair of rose gold heels that was embedded with a gold leaf design. Her makeup was done natural, and she wore gold hoops with a leaf design as well. 

"Thank you." The group of friends continued talking for a while, catching up. They were in the middle of a conversation when an arm wrapped around Alessandra's waist. A smiled adorned the face of the brunette as she leant into Emmett, enjoying his embrace. She continued talking to the four until Rosalie came, taking her away to meet their cousins.

"Alessandra, meet the Denali's."

"Hi," The said girl smiled at them as she leant into Rosalie. The brunette was as tall as her shoulder which made her even shorter compared to Emmett.

"I love your dress." The brunette thanked her before returning the compliment. They talked for the reminder of the time before going to their own seats. Alessandra was in between Rosalie and Emmett, who went up to make a toast. She cringed slightly at her mate's toast and watched with amusement as he went up and looked uncomfortable. Soon Jessica went up there, and everyone knew she was jealous, it was obvious.

Next up was Charlie who said he knew Edward was going to be a good husband because he's a cop and he knows how to hunt someone to the ends of the earth. The brunette chuckled, looking pointedly at Edward before mouthing 'Silent Threat.'

The bronze-haired vampire rolled his eyes while Bella chuckled. Alice made a speech then Esme and now it was the brunette's turn. Alessandra took a deep breath and stood up, walking to the makeshift stage. She took the microphone in her hand and took a deep breath before she started her speech.

"Bella, Edward. I may not have known you for a long time, but I know you guys are perfect for each other." She gave the couple a kind smile. "Love is not perfect. It is not a fairytale or a storybook and doesn't always come easy. I know that from experience, so treasure every second of it." They looked back at her and Alessandra saw how they gazed at each other with love and joy. "You're surrounded by loved ones, ones who all wish you well." The brunette looked around the room as well as Bella. "You two are about to start a new chapter in your book. A chapter full of love, joy and happiness. Obstacles may appear but that's life and may your bond stay as strong as it is today. Soak today in, for this is where the magic starts." Alessandra stole a quick glance at Rosalie and Emmett before looking back at the two. "So," She started, raising her glass along with everyone else. "Here's to a new future so warm and bright. May your life as a newly married couple be as bright as the sun shining above when a new day brings a new adventure."
