chapter 9

**CHARLOTTES P.O.V**

We took the bus back to college and went back to mine and Jakes room but he wasnt there, we looked in his room and it was untouched. Maybe he wasnt back yet?

"Wanna watch a movie while we wait? I just got incidious 2..." My voice trailed as I looked around for the movie.

"Sure." He chuckled as he grabbed the movie, throwing it at me.

"Ouch!" I breathed in heavily through my teeth, rubbing my arm where the DVD case had hit me.

"OMG, im soo sorry." He said, looking at me with wide eyes.

"Aha, its okay! im okay!" I giggled at his over-reaction and put the movie in the DVD player.

About half way through the movie we heard a knock at the door...

"Who is it?!" i shouted, but no answer.

Niall paused the movie and got up to open the door.

"Ill get it." I said putting my hand on his chest to stop him. He just nodded.

I opened the door and there stood Jake.

"I best be off." Niall mumbled, pushing past Jake and going out of the door.

"Im sorry..." Jake whispered.

"Yeah, I thought you might be." I replied, flopping onto the sofa and playing the movie.

"No, we need to talk." He shouted over the movie, grabbing the remote and turning off the TV.

"You left us, unannounced in the middle of nowhere for no reason!" I shouted back.

"There was a reason...Selena, she had a miscarridge..." His voice trailed.

"Oh.." I muttered "Is..is she ok?"

"It was my baby Charlotte!" He started crying and sat with me.

"Oh.." I repeated. I was going to say something else but something distracted me..

"Jake what the fuck is that?!" I shouted, jumping up.

"What?" He sounded confused.

"That! Have you been taking drugs?" I pointted to the needle hole on the inside elbow of his arm.

"Oh." He wiped his tears, trying to cover up his arm.

"Yeah Jake, oh. Good fucking night." I shouted.

"Charlotte wait?.." He pulled me back by my arm.

"No, i will not wait, your such a coward. Only a coward would turn to drugs like that! You coukd have..You could have turned to me..I would have helped you Jake, this isnt the answer." Several tears started to roll down my cheeks as i walked to my room, and from there I cried myself to sleep...Just thinking about what I had got myself into..A druggy that had ruined my reputation and made everyone hate me.

Sorry its just a short update guys, sometimes Its hard to do long ones because I just need to think about whats going to happen next.

I know the ending, im just trying to piece it together...
