The Questioning

*CHARLOTTES P.O.V*

A tall man in a padded police uniform took me into a light blue room with nothing in it but a table, 2 chairs, A recording machine and a mirror on the wall. (I'm assuming double sided?)

He sat me down and got out a large notebook, I smiled nervously as he looked at me.

"This 'Jake' He was your boyfriend, yes?"

"Yes officer." I whispered, My throat all of a sudden becoming dry.

"Can you tell us more about that?"

He said 'Us' So I knew someone was also listening. He turned the machine on.

"9:43 PM. The 18th Of september." He said into the machine.

"I arrived at my college a few months ago, For the first time. I was lost and couldn't find my room, Jake was in the halls, I could tell he had a reputation. He helped me to my room and we sort of got together, He seemed so sweet and kind. All until I found him with a..A hooker. Then I flipped, Wen't to Nialls room and stayed there. We later found out that Jake was an alchololic and I noticed needle marks on the inside of his elbow..Drugs. He thought that me and him breaking up was Nialls fault and therefore took a grudge against him, One day me, Kate and Niall wen't to my room and Jake took a knife, While drunk he tried to stab Niall. Instead he ended up stabbing my best friend..."

By now I was crying.

"We went to the police but we dropped the charges to give him another chance, A foolish idea. I guess he sent Niall a tweet and now we're here."

"Thankyou Ma'am I know that was hard for you, thats about all we need for now, We may contact you for further information. You're free to go."

The officer put his big hand on my quivvering hand and gave me a reassuring look. I smiled and wiped my eyes. I slowly stood up and walked out of the door.

Niall was waiting for me when I got out, I suppose he didn't have as much to tell as me because ge hasn't known Jake for very long.

He saw I was crying and jumped up out of his chair. "Aw, Babe." He whispered pulling me into his chest.

We stood there for a few minutes, Hugging it out until I realised "Wheres Kate?!"

Then we heard a scream "Charlotte! You gotta help, I didn't do It..I sware I didn't!!" I turned around to see Kate being dragged by a police officer.

"Officer, Whats going on?" I ran after them.

"Illegal substances have been found in your friends body." He shouted over Kates screams.

"Cocaine." He added.

"There has to be a mistake, She was framed!" I argued.

"Kate Albrecht will have a chance to prove herself innocent but until then we will be keeping her at the station.

This can't be happening. I looked ar Niall with hot ters streaming down my face "Its never ending." I whispered.
