**CHARLOTTES P.O.V** '

life is getting better!' I thought. I have Niall <3 and my best friend in the entire world. I cant forget about Jake, but im going to try my damned hardest!

*knock knock* "Ill get it!" Katie shouted, she was taking off her makeup. "Um, come in." She said to whoever was at the door.

I paused the TV and looked over "Niall!" I squeaked, running over to him and giving him a peck on the lips.

"Is this your boyyfriiendd?" Katie teased.

"Yep." Niall answered before I could, winking at me.

He made me blush but then I heard Jake scream "What the fuck?!" And turned my head toward him (He was still on the other couch, drinking, I thought he was asleep.)

"You are cheating on me with him." He mumbled, hobblinh over in his drunk state. Or maybe he was stoned?

"Dude, dont start!" Niall facepalmed.

"No, I will. Im sick of this she-"

"Has nothing to fucking do with you." I snapped. "We're nothing but people who are stuck in this prison of a room together, you fucked a hooker and your a druggy alchoholic, that really ended it for me. That abd the fact that your a dick that I never really loved." I spat, Im so pissed at him.

He looked hurt, but that hurt look soon turned into anger, as he swung for me, he was drunk but it still hurts pretty bad, I assume I have a bruise on my jaw.

Niall got protective and punched him back, Jake just laughed and wiped the blood off of his split lip.

Then he did what I never thought he would do, he grabbed a knife and went for Niall, I tried to pull him back and it worked for a second but he just stabbed at the closest thing he could...

Katie!!

**NIALLS P.O.V**

"HOLY SHIT!!" I shouted, he had stabbed her in the chest, and stomach! Charlotte was still holding him back (kinda.) So I managed to hit him in the face, I must have hit him hard because I knocked him out, and my hand hurt like hell. But I didnt care, Katie was more important at the moment!

Charlotte was on the line to 911 and I tried to attend to Katie. I ripped my shirt roughly in half and put half of it on each of her stab wounds. Do I apply pressure or what?! I have no clue so I didnt really apply much.

The ambulance arrived and took Katie and Jake, I would have just peft him but I suppose its ther job and all. Me and Charlotte were running down to the ambulance with the paramedics and they asked it my hand was ok. "Oh, uh..yeah its fine." I stuttered  I didnt realise it was bleeding.

Both me and Charlotte got in the huge van with Katie  they binded up my hand and soon we had arrived at the hospital. We werent allowed to go in the room with her so all we had to do was wait.

"I hate him." I whispered  taking Charlotte in my arms and kissing her forehead, she was crying.

"Yeah, me too." She wimpered. "My-my best friend Niall  what am I gonna do-hu-hu?!" She added.

"I-I dont know. We will get through this." I muttered.

"We will, but she might not." She whispered back. I just sighed and held her tight in my arms.

**CHARLOTTES P.O.V**

It felt like hours but it probably wasnt, then a nurse finally came over to us "Katie has internal bleeding in her lungs, she will need to go into theatre." She stated. "As for the young man hes-" 'We dont care!" I growled, and I didnt, why should I?

"Ok, well just wait." Niall muttered, sorrow in his voice.

The nurse nodded and walked away, I turned to Niall and cupped his face for him to look at me, he looked into my eyes and I kissed him, it was neither passionate nor' a peck. It was just reassuring, he then pulled me into a hug and I cried again. My best friend in the whole world might die, damn Jake, I will never forgive him.

Omg, sorry for putting your character on the brink of death katie! Its just a littoe twist I wanted to add, this book has lots of twists. Just as you think its all going well TICK TICK BOOM! xD Its the way I like writing.
