okay just in case anyone is wondering, last chapter took place a few weeks after malum had sex and since cake nearly happened

bones rattled inside the curly brunettes body, his phone vibrated. his phone rung relentlessly on end, every bone in his body left trembling with his expensive phone trapped against his upper thigh, in the pocket of his jeans. his muscles tensed. his bones rattled. his body trembled. the hair on his skin rose.
knees jostled up and down, nerves spread throughout his entire body. he sat quietly, watched as the minutes on the digital clocked ticked down, but ironically the clocked ticked up while the time he had left together himself, his thoughts ran out. sitting and staring at the clock added no aid to his fucked up condition.
walking or running, simply moving would have been more beneficial besides sitting as he allowed this swarm of thoughts and feelings spread over his entire body, controlling every fiber in him. putting himself together no longer seemed an option as his hours ran out. rendering to minutes and seconds, he was left with nothing to prepare.
he never lost track of the time as he sat. he lost himself. he wondered if years had passed him by, the stubbly hair on his chin might've grown out enough for him to resemble a man. his unruly curls could be a knotted mess in the back of his head, pushed back from frustration of feeling himself waste with every second.
he knew what felt like years pass was only minutes. he knew the time he lost with nothing to gain except this bubbling wildfire people liked to call anxiety. it tore him apart from inside out, allowing him to bleed out his thoughts. he lost himself in the nothingness he slowly began to mold into.
weeks had passed prior to him losing himself; starting off slowly but it was just all free fall from here, no longer slow. every piece of this puzzle he called his life fell apart. the puzzle wasn't even finished. how many times would he have to come across a piece that no longer fit? he made himself sick for ridding his life of the pieces that didn't fit.
his friends or boyfriend no longer seemed to fit in the places they once belonged in before. the shape of his life changed and the pieces of them hadn't manage to change either. this was what it boiled down to; nothing. without his friends he became nothing. luke was a friend before he was anything else, a promise both made to each other before they became something else.
his friend no longer felt right. nothing felt right, he wasn't ready to tear himself apart just to build the pieces again. he no longer seem to fit either into his own life. everything had fallen apart, his world and himself, leaving him on his aching knees with the crumbled mess of his life. what had it become?
fixing was the option left, he would go to luke and start there. his world certainly hadn't been built with bare hands and backbreaking work within a day, yet it all crumbled in seconds. he'd do his best to build it back to what took him eighteen years to build in the next few days. with helping hands he surely get it built back up, but he really didn't know if he wanted help.
he sucked his bottom lip inside his mouth, nibbling on the dried, dead among anxiously as his eyes watched the clock. hazel-gold eyes grew weak and wary, watching more minutes pass. his eyes became strained as there was nothing else he could do. his eyes were glued to the clocked.
a click awoken him inside, his eyes sprung to life along with his entire body: his knees stopped shaking, his muscles slowly unwound themselves from the previous tense state, his bones became oddly silent, but the thoughts in his head never silence neither did the buzzing of his phone.
