calum huffed quietly like a small, tired puppy and rubbed his dark brown eyes accented with red circling his eyelids. after calling luke he received absolutely no sleep and spent the whole night listening to the loud snores coming from the room on the other side of the door. michael's sleep sounded blissful to him and he envied his restful night sleep.

as for the younger boy, he was still dressed in his skin-tight jeans growing more uncomfortable to his sweaty, sticky skin. his damp shirt didn't help his case either as he shuffled around in micheal's sheets, waiting for the older boy to awake. maybe leaving without him was for the better.

calum gulp down a wad of spit collecting in his mouth and forced himself to swallow it down his dry throat. the previously clean, smelling linen sheets were now damp and smelled of sweat and salt, catching the smell wasn't hard when they hit the ground and making the air spread around the room. the tan boy scrunched his nose up and gathered his composure, sliding out of the bed.

he gathered all his stuff and slipped out of michael's soundlessly, leaving michael to sleep like a baby with the peace
of mind calum was safe in his bed.

calum gently knocks against luke's rough, cracked door leading into his house. he swayed back and forth on the heels of his feet as seconds turned into minutes as he waited; the loud slapping of footsteps didn't help his case either. saliva gathered in his mouth, on his dry tongue as the footsteps got close. he swallowed the thick spit down his throat harshly as it slid down his throat like sand.

too quickly, the door swung wide open, revealing ashton with an unpleasant look on his face as he eyed calum. the younger boy's skin crawled as ashton stepped back to let him in and he stood close behind calum. he tried his best to ignore his friends unforgiving gaze, the eyes looking at him if he was nothing.

ashton looked at him like a problem, someone he'd have to deal with; everyone ashton's viewed this way never ended up in good shape. he wouldn't lie, ashton made him feel like a threat that he would deal with sooner or later. all calum do is deal with whatever ashton did to him unless he told michael, but with michael came explaining.

michael watching calum like a hawk and never being let out of his sight? there was the possibility of the older boy becoming more possessive too. or, deal with ashton's harsh demeanor towards him and the possibility of ashton physically hurt him? neither of them sounded pleasant, but these were his friends and the options he had.

calum slowly walked up the steps to luke's room, located upstairs in his house, with ashton hot in his heels. the tan boy walked to luke's door, pushing it open immediately and walking into the room. at luke's house calum's always felt right at home and could do anything he wanted there, while at ashton or michael he felt like a tight, wrapped up coil.

"cal, you're here!" luke grinned from cheek to cheek as he bounded up from the edge of his where he was previously seated playing fifa. luke sounded a little too enthusiastic about calum being here to ashton's annoyance, making him scoff loudly.

"yeah, i'm here," the younger one chuckled back uneasily, licking over his dry lips with his dry tongue.

ashton rolled his eyes, walking over the edge of luke's bed and brushing past calum. he didn't forget to shove his shoulders into calum, sending the younger to stumble forward somewhat. luke narrowed his eyes at his boyfriend, grasping him behind the back of his hair and tugging his curls into tight balls of fist.
