The rain still poured down. It was constant, dreary and all around miserable. Peter opened and softly blinked his eyes. He sat up, holding his neck while groaning. It was stiff from the uncomfortable gurney. He turned his head and looked over at Sadee who was still in the same position she was last night. He placed a hand back on hers, she was still so cold. Peter got up and walked to the elevator to go upstairs. When he arrived on the main floor, everyone was watching the news.
Peter joined them on the large couch and listened in. "A random storm has appeared to come in effect for the state of New York. For this was never a part of the forecast, it becomes a surprise to all citizens" the anchor woman said. Tony shut off the TV.
"Is she still out?" he asked.
"Yeah" Peter replied crossing his arms, "she's stone cold".
"What the hell happened last night" Natasha asked. Peter sighed, "Sadee told me that she had always wanted to go to see the Statue of Liberty, so I took her. We were at the top and then all of a sudden she went deaf and screamed so loud I thought I was going to be deaf as well" he explained.
"Then she passed out and it started to rain. I remember the whole ground shaking when she screamed. All the lights went out in the buildings and windows were blown out" Peter finished. "Sadee is not normal. Her traits should be showing up at any point in time" Bruce said, "She's of age. For all we know she could be your side-kick or she could be the knew princess of the moon".
"I should go check her vitals. She should be waking up any-" Bruce was cut off by the elevator bell ringing. The doors open and Sadee stood inside. Her face was pale and had a blue tint to it. She stood there shaking.
"Dad?" she whispered as she began to cry. The Avengers stood up. Peter pulled her out of the elevator, her body was too cold to touch so he removed his hands from her even though the urge was irresistible. She needed his comfort.
As she stood in front of him and cried some more, her warm tears warmed her body and it turned to her skin back to the normal color. Peter embraced her as soon as she was normal.
"We need to help mom" Sadee said.
Peter turned his body to face the rest of the Avengers. "You heard the girl" Tony said. "Somebody's taken her heart" Sadee muttered under her breath. "She's in danger dad, we need to help her!" she screamed, shaking Peter by the shoulders.
"Honey, I know" Peter reassured her. "Everyone to the top of the tower" Thor boomed. The Avengers took the elevator to the top floor. It was still dark and rainy. The wind was so powerful it made it hard to see. "Grab onto one another!" Thor yelled over the storm. He lifted up his hammer and a bolt of lighting hit the hammer and they all flew up into the sky.
When they arrived in Asgard, it was no better there. The storm was even worse. Jane came running up as soon as she saw them arrive. "Jane what are you doing?!" Thor asked, "Get back in the castle! It's much too dangerous out here!" Jane ignored him and started talking, "Look!" She pointed over to a mountain range.
A figure that was large and possessed. It's eyes were white and it's body was made up of swirling wind and lightning bolts. It struck tree with it's finger without a problem. "What is that?!" Steve yelled. "We are not sure" Jane replied, "but it is ruining Asgard by every minute!"
Trees among trees among trees we caught on fire. It was a dry and fiery pit of darkness. Asgardian warriors were sending bombs into the sky. It was no use. This was some kind of powerful spirit. Once again, this was nothing new to the crew.
As the spirit became angrier, a massive army of alien-looking soldiers came running down the hills. They went straight toward the warriors of Asgard. The wind, the rain, the whole storm itself was getting bigger and worse by every minute.
"We need to help them" shouted Steve. "Wanda, Clint, Tony and Peter cover the sky" Steve started giving instructions. "Bucky, Nat, Bruce, and I will stay on the ground. Thor will go look for Audrey's heart. And Sadee, you stay with Jane" The group started to head towards the valley when Steve's shield was taken by a sticky substance.
He turned around as well as everyone else. Sadee stood her ground, the shield in her hand. "I'm not going to sit here and do nothing. I'm going to help. It is my mother after all" Steve nodded in agreement with her statement, but he looked over at Peter to make sure it was okay with him and he was.
"She's just like you" Nat whispered in Peter's ear. Sadee walked up to them and as she marched passed Peter, she said "It was all just a game before, I've always been like this. I just thought I would surprise you" she ran and started swinging toward the mountain.
Thor looked at Peter. "You knew about?" Peter asked him. "No. No I didn't" Thor replied, "She really is just like you". Peter couldn't help but smirk. His daughter was just like him, her personality, looks and the fact she hid her powers.
"We need to get going" Bucky said. "Thor, follow the girl" Tony said, "We'll cover everything else". They all went to their assigned sections. It was all for Audrey. It was all for Sadee, all for Peter.
Running, running, running.
Sadee was on a mission. She didn't stop swinging. Down on the ground, Bucky and Steve fought back to back. Bucky constantly grabbed the aliens by their throats with his metal arm and slammed them to the ground, breaking their spines.
This made Steve think of Sakovia. He looked up at the spirit who's eyes were engulfed in flames. Everyone was doing their best but the soldiers kept spilling out over the hill side. It was hard to see anymore. The rain and wind mixing was so powerful. The only thing that lit up the sky was the storm spirit.
Steve paged Tony, "Hey where are Thor and Sadee?!" he yelled into the mic attached to his helmet. Up in the sky, Tony searched for them. "Friday located Thor Odinson and Sadee Parker" he asked. "Looks like they are running along the side of a cliff" Friday replied.
"Why didn't you tell me about your powers" Thor asked Sadee as he grunted and hit an alien with his hammer. She shot a web and one and stuck it to the wall. "People hid secrets. This just happened to be mine" she said.
"Where are we headed?" Thor yelled. "Into the cave where most of these ugly green things are headed. That's where mom's heart is supposed to be" she shouted back, she kicked an alien in her way and broke its neck. "But if it's not there, then I don't know where she will be".
Thor followed Sadee behind the waterfall. They both fought their way through the gouge of soldiers. Sadee moved the stone door, Audrey's dress and flower crown in which she was buried in was still there, but the stone heart was not. She turned and looked at Thor.
"It's not here anymore" Sadee said sadly, "One of them took it".
Tony paged Thor, "Anything? Did you guys find the heart?" he asked. "No. One of the creatures has it. We have to get it back, but we have to go look for Audrey". Sadee started heading back down to the valley to meet up with everyone.
"They must have some kind of leader who has it" Clint added. "We've seen no sign of some kind of leader" Wanda said. "There's no way we're going to stop this unless we find the heart and Audrey" Steve mentioned.
"We've already found mom" Sadee said. She was pointing up at the thunderous spirit. The Avengers squinted and shielded their eyes looking up at the ghostly figure. It screamed and cried up a literal storm.
"That is her".
