"Wow, you look amazing. "

She turned to see her friend Jeremy. A smile was plastered  on her beautiful face "And you look ravishing? " he chuckled and held her hand "May we? " she nodded and they walked into the hall.

Jeremy was her mate in the company. He always had relationship issues with the men he had in his life. He then decided to have a turn and start doing girls maybe they'll be more loyal and he was right. His present girlfriend was Japanese and she was a bar attender. She loved him with the whole of her heart which was same with him. They met in the bar which she worked in.

"Where's Cheng? " Jane was referring to the bar attender as they got a table to stay.
"She's cool. Couldn't make it here cause she had to attend to her thirsty customers. "
Jane nodded and sat down. "Just let her know that I said hi. "

"Yeah, she'll be glad about that. " Jane opened the wine bottle on the table and poured some of it in two cups on the table. Another couple joined them shortly. Each table was for two couples. She handed one of the cups to him and he smiled. "Thanks. "

She winked and took a sip from hers.
"But you are glad that Walsh is back aren't you? "She almost choked on the sip she took from her wine. "Everyone is glad that he's back Jeremy. "

He heaved. "You and Walsh can just be how Cheng and I are, Jane.... "

The doors opened and men on black suites entered with Walsh in their midst. Everyone stood up instantly and started clapping for him. It was then that Jane noticed that Mr Ken had been on the mic since and there was a soft music in the background. She turned to see Jeremy looking into her eyes and she cleared her throat. "Walsh and I can never be like you guys cause.......he's not the man for me. " she said and watched as Walsh sat down on his special seat.

"OK I understand but what I don't understand is the fact that you're not clapping also. " she opened her eyes and chuckled. "Nahh if he wants me to clap for him.... He'll come talk to me... What do you say? " she said smirking at Jeremy who also smiled back.

"And it's time for this humble and remarkable man to give his introductory speech! " Ken announced and everyone clapped as Walsh walked up to the space where Ken was and was handed a mic from one of the men in the technical department. All the music in the background had stopped. Walsh cleared his throat and began.

He was very attractive no one could deny but Jane couldn't see it anymore since when he left. She didn't want to remember all of those times when he was making her heart to flutter then, her phone beeped. She checked it and it was a message from Mirai. She rolled her eyes.

**Where the hell are you?!**
She ignored it. Another message entered.

**Could you just be patient ?** she texted back and tried to focus on the speech of her boss and ex person who she had complicated feelings for or whatever they had to do with each other. Her phone beeped again and she checked.

She rolled her eyes and turned to Jeremy. " I'll be leaving now. I have another occasion to attend please. "

He widened his eyes in amazement. "so soon? "
"it's really an important stuff and my friend is really not helping matters right now. "

"Jane... Really? " he shook his head in what looked like disappointment.

"I would have informed you earlier but the dinner just started so this is the earlier I would have been talking about if my friend wasn't really bugging. "

He smiled and nodded. "Just take care of yourself there. "

She smiled "thank you. " Even though she was sure that he wasn't very glad about her behavior.

Walsh was still on his speech as she stood up elegantly from her seat. She gave Jeremy a goodbye peck and made her way out of the hall. Walsh's eyes had been on her right from when she stood up. His eyes followed till she walked out of those doors. He tried to keep to the speech but he was loosing it so he just ended it abruptly. "so..... That will be all for now and again I appreciate this gathering. Let's wine and dine, shall we? " He said and took his seat.

It was very obvious why he just ended the speech no matter how hard he tried to hide it. He sat down on his seat cleaning his face with the handkerchief that was previously in his pocket. People mumured and Ken took over again. "What a splendid speech by Mr Walsh! "
