TWENTY ONE

Ryan watched her walked away. He couldn't even say anything cause everything was just crazy. Jonah just continued talking like nothing even happened just now. He had so many thoughts running through his mind.

'What did I do? Okay, that I lied....how did I lie? When did I lie? Maybe, she has mood swing? What's fucking going on? She's gone crazy honestly? So, where did she go to? When her car isn't even here. '

His eyes widened. "Mirai left with her car! "

Jonah paused and looked at him frowning. "So? She should walk home. "

"That's not happening? " he said and started walking towards the car park to get his car. Jonah just shook his head and went into the frat house.

She was walking too fast in annoyance. "He couldn't even apologize. He just let me go like that. Sheeesh... He loves me my ass! " Her steps were faster and then she came to a halt. It was then that it dawned on her that she was actually walking to her house. She would have taken a cab but her purse was in her car.

"Damn! " she shouted. This night wasn't a good one at all. First of all, Mirai had a fight with Jake. She also had one with Ryan cause of the lie. He watched her walk away and now she has no other way of going home than to walk in the cold.

She rolled her eyes.

The only thing she could do now was to beg for a lift. She stood by the roadside with her hands stretched out. A cab stopped and she said.
"Hi "
The man looked at her. "You should've gotten in by now. "

"No... I have to tell you something. " she said with a chuckle. The man looked away and she continued. "I don't have cash here so I just want you to give me a..... " He started his car and drove away.

She blinked and waited patiently. Another cab stopped and everything repeated itself.

"This is really dumb. " she said and started walking. Not like if she walks she would die.

The cold hit her hard and her dress was of no help. She felt naked. She couldn't take this anymore. She has to call Jake or someone. She called Jake but he wasn't picking up so she left a voicemail.

"Jake I'm outside in the cold.... Please come pick me up. Please. "

She cut it and then decided to just walk back to the frat house. If she doesn't see Jake she could sleep there at least there are many rooms there.

She started walking back then a car with very bright flashlight stopped in front of her.

She had to use her lashes to shield her eyes. She walked closer and checked and then saw him. Relief flushed into her system like a flowing stream. She tried really hard to hide her grin and kept on walking. He came out of the car angrily.
"Seriously?!"

She kept on walking and he shouted back. "Jane!"

She turned. "What?! "

He tried to calm down. "Let me take you home at least. "
"Thanks for the offer "she spat back and he rolled his eyes.

"Jake left angrily after the incident so are you planning on sleeping in JONAH'S frat house? " He said emphasizing on 'Jonah's'

She turned and looked at him. 'Well, that's convincing enough. ' she thought and got into the car. He did thesame and started the car. The drive was very silent.

No one said anything or exchanged any word. She was looking out the window and his was on the road. Few times, he'll check to see if she's looked away but it seemed like she won't. Her eyes will be there till he reaches and that was how it was as he thought. He parked in front of her house and she looked at him.

"Why did you lie to me? "
"I don't even know what I lied about to begin with. "

"Okay, I'll just play along and let you know. You told me you don't do drugs and made me feel really guilty when I was taking them and then I saw that idiot give you drugs. Hard drugs. "

He looked at the steering and back at her."How did you see the drug? "
"What? "
"How the hell did you see the drug? " Her eyes flickered around cause she had nothing to say and he noticed.

"Exactly! "he said and she defended.
"Mirai told me that idiot is like a drug dealer...... "

"That doesn't count Jane! He was fucking giving me the keys to his frat house in case shit goes down. "

Confusion flooded her face. She faced the front mirror in embarrassment and he rolled his eyes

"You know Jane, I'm not a fan of conclusion jumping. foyr God's sake, we have to be communicative instead of just assuming shit and causing a hell lot of nuisance.... Cause if this keeps on going I don't think...... "

"You don't think what? " She faced him and he looked away. She rolled her eyes and then said. "I don't trust you. "

He turned and looked at her. "How does that relate? "

"I don't trust you! "she said and got out of the car banging the door hard and walked towards her house.

He was agaped.

What the hell just happened?

She got into her house and heard his voice shout "Shit! ". She took a deep breath and locked the door behind her and walked into the kitchen. It was then that he drove away.

She wanted to call Mirai but she should be asleep by now and she also had a fight this night so who's consoling who. She left the kitchen and entered her room removing her gown quickly.

"He doesn't think what. Nothing has even started and things are becoming this way...ugh " she laid on her bed and added.
"Maybe, I'm just taking things too far. "

She thought for a while and then remembered Walsh. They didn't fight on the night that he asked her out but he ended up as any asshole. And Walsh explains why she's not taking things likely with Ryan. She couldn't be that good and nice Jane and make that mistake again.

"Well, I shouldn't be thinking about this. My mind has to be clear so I can think well. So, Jane snap out of this..." the cat meowed and she smiled.
"OK,ok I'm going to bed.... Ugh " she closed her eyes and tried to get some sleep.
