Toby Knows All

Chapter 18

Life was good after Emma and Tessa were back. We decided to throw a mini party when they got back to normal. I invited Ashley, Toby, and Bradley. I only invited Bradley for Emma. I wanted Ashley to come because she helped me to get my friends back. Then there is Toby. I didn't want him to feel like I ditched him. When he kissed me. I glanced over at Emma. Bradley was on the couch watching a scary movie with Emma. She was nestled up to him, and put her arms around his waist. I see everyone of my friends happy, except me. I was sitting on the counter drinking soda by myself. Toby walked in putting his hands in his pockets.

"It's not a party without you Nikki."

"Everyone is happy at this party except me."

"Well, you don't have to be." Toby said leaning closer to me. Lightly brushing my lips. Then put his mouth on mine. "You better."

"Toby, that kiss at the school was a mistake. I never should have let you."

"Then why did you let me?" Toby asked concerned.

"I-I don't know." I stuttered.

"You don't want me. You don't like me like that."

"Toby, I need time."

"Ok," He said. "I know I'm pushy, but I can't help myself. I want you." Toby kissed me.

In between breathes I said,"Toby stop!"

He kept on kissing me without noticing I said anything. I tried to move away from him but I couldn't. Being on a counter you don't have many options. I tried smacking him, but he grabbed my hands. What can I do? I tried kicking him, but that made it worse. He grabbed my legs.

"Stop Toby, please."

He still didn't notice. He kissed my neck. Next, my thigh. Finally, he came back to my lips. I could feel the heat of his lips against mine. I gave in, kissing him back. Wrapping my legs around his waist. He carried me up to the room. Surprisingly, nobody found us. Toby set me down on the bed pulling me to his lap.

"So this means your my girlfriend."

I kissed him.

"I'm guessing that's a yes."

I fell asleep because I was so tired.

"Hello gorgeous."

"How long was I asleep?" I asked.

"Well," Toby started. "I don't know."

"Ok." I yawned. "I'm hungry."

"I'll carry you down."

"Thanks." I replied, standing up.

Toby picked me up, and carried me downstairs.

"You have cereal, yogurt, and some fruit."

"Um..." I said. "A banana will be fine."

Toby peeled a banana for me. He took a bit then gave it to me.

"Hey!" I said smiling at him.

"Sorry." He said sarcastically.

Emma walked in with Bradley.

"Morning." Emma said.

"Morning." I replied.

Emma took a banana, and gave one to Bradley.

"Thanks sweetheart." Bradley said kissing Emma on the cheek.

Toby and Bradley went home after breakfast. We let Ashley stay a hour after to thank her for all she has done. Knock! Knock! I ran to get the door.

"Hey Toby. What are you doing?"

"I forgot my jacket."

"Oh, come in."

Toby ran upstairs. There was another knock on the door.

"Come in!" I yelled.

The door opened. I turned around and I was staring at Seth.

"Don't go. I'm sorry for scarring you."

"Please go! I am happy without you!"

Toby ran back downstairs with his jacked in hand.

"Sorry it took me a while." Toby asked looking up. "Oh, who is this?"

"This is Seth."

"Oh," Toby replied. "Um, this is awkward."

"Who are you?" Seth asked.

"Toby." I said kissing him on the lips. That got Seth pissed off.

"You left me for him!"

"Um, you lied to me. Oh and it was a really big secret." I said kissing Toby on his neck. I love making him mad.

"What secret?" Toby interrupted.

"Oh, that thing I said in the car."

"Um, that he was a warlock."

"Yeah, when you said that he was a warlock?" Toby asked. "I thought you were kidding."

"Nope, and I'm a mermaid." I blurted out.

"I'm going to go." Toby said.

"I'm not going to hurt you." I replied trying to kiss him, but he turned away.

"I need time."

"Toby please. I never told anyone my secret."

"How does he know?" Toby asked backing away.

"He's a warlock." I said. "Seth does spells."

"Um, ok."

"Toby don't leave me. I'm only a mermaid."

"Yes and that changes everything."

"Please, I still love you!"

"I need time."

"I don't want to be experimented on, Toby, you can't tell anyone."

"I can if I want." Toby sasses us.

"Then we are going to have a hard time. Seth want to help me?"

"My pleasure." Seth bowed.
