joes pov

it was those late night conversations, those few minutes when they lay together in jacks bed in complete silence, the face-timing, calling each other just to hear the familiar and reassuring voice on the other line, those were the moments he was reminded that he was hopelessly in love with jack maynard.

love felt like total surrender.

but, its indescribable. its only something you can feel, words will never do it justice. love it something that the word itself cannot even describe. it felt like a gift.

a gift they weren't ready to share with anyone.

"joe?" zoe's voice rang, forcing me out of my daze.

"uh- what?"

"you haven't eaten any of your food." my mum said, narrowing her eyes, as if trying to figure something out.

"oh, right. i'm not really hungry. i can't eat. sorry." he said, leaving the dinner table without another word.

to be honest, he was getting kind of sick of being around his parents, after jack had told him that they hated jack for some reason.

he left the house out into the cold air. the sky was already darkening, which just hinted at the start of a dreary winter, since it was only five. he took off on his bike, cycling to what he liked to consider a second home for him. a home a lot more accepting of things he did.

jacks pov

monday: mylove<3: you haven't texted me in like two days, are you okay?

wednesday: mylove<3: hi????????? where you at

sunday: mylove<3: thanks for making me feel better about myself the few times we texted. an update: joe sugg is my boyfriend! thats great. i wish i could share my excitement with someone.

jack sighed, and flopped down onto his bed. he looked a mess today. he hadn't showered in three days, and he was just lounging in his underwear and a baggy hoodie. he didn't really care, he wasn't seeing anyone today so it didn-

"jack! joe is here." conors voice rang up the stairs, interrupting his thoughts.

his eyes went wide, and he rolled off of his bed, falling onto the ground.

"uh- okay! i'll be down in a minute!"

jack panicked. quickly, he threw on a pair of blue jeans with a pattern of red roses running up the side of them. he considered washing his hair quickly in the sink, but decided that would just be stupid, and threw on a plain, black hat instead. he decided to stay in his mustard coloured baggy hoodie.

he practically threw himself down the stairs, to see joe standing there, a small smile on his face as he chatted with conor.

"hey joe." jack said, with a suggestive tone to it.

"that's my queue to leave! don't have too much fun." conor said, going upstairs to his room.

now it was just joe and jack.

"are you okay?" jack asked.

joe usually didn't show up unannounced, not that he was complaining. he loved when joe came around, no matter what.

"yeah. kind of. i think i'm just really sick of being with my parents right now. something changed after i got pneumonia. they don't trust me, they don't want me to go hang out with anyone, and i'm convinced they're trying to get into my phone and my laptop. so uh- i was wondering if you would come over. i don't care what they think about you anymore. i want them to see the person that i lov- i mean, the person that makes me so happy." joe caught himself before saying love, and his cheeks flushed red.

jack wrapped his arms around joe.

"the person that "makes you so happy"?" jack mocked.

"well, that is true. but- yeah. the person that i love."

jack gave him a quick kiss on the lips, smiling.

"i like the sound of that. you're also the person that i love." he said, as he dragged joe by the hand upstairs.

they lay down in jacks bed, joes head on his chest, and jacks arm wrapped protectively around joe.

"do you want to stay here tonight?" jack asked.

"mmm, yeah. your bed is comfortable." joe replied, lifting up his head to give jack another kiss.

they enjoyed doing that occasionally.

"you mean i'm comfortable. you're hardly even on the bed, you're practically just lying on top of me!" he laughed.

"do you want me to get off?" joe said, hiding a smirk.

jack intertwined their hands, leaning down for another kiss.

"nah. too much of an inconvenience."

his breath on joe's mouth made the hairs stand up on his neck, and they sat up, now just holding hands and sharing a gentle kiss. jack moves his chin up and down, tilting his head, pushing joe backwards. he tried to mimic it. joes hands were on jacks cheeks, which were growing warmer and warmer. jack pulled joes body closer to him, if that were possible.

this felt perfect.
