jack turned off his phone, a small smile playing at his lips. it felt so good to be obsessed over. he crawled out of bed as slowly as he could without conor shouting at him again for making them late to school.
whilst getting ready, jack unconsciously spent extra time in front of the mirror, checking every inch of his face for anything he could make look better and running his hands through his newly washed hair too many times.
"jack? are you ready? come on! the musical auditions are on today! hurry up!" conor shouted, frustration coming out.
jack gave his teeth a quick brush, and slipped out of the door into conors car.
conor gave him a quick look up and down when he got into the car. he wasn't surprised. jack knew he looked good today, and it actually looked like he had put effort into his looks.
he was wearing the most expensive oversized jumper that was in his wardrobe. it was practically new. it was an almost lilac colour, and it went with his black jeans very well. with that, he put on his favourite pair of fake glasses, circular and black, along with a proper nose ring. he knew he looked good, and he was confident.
"you look spiffy. trying to look good for a girl?" conor said, nudging jack in the arm as he started up the car.
the sun decided to come out from underneath the clouds at last, no longer threatening rain, but promising sweating and complaining.
"no." jack answered bluntly.
truth be told, the word mranon223 was swarming his thoughts. and, the thought of him made him beam. so, although he must of looked like a right idiot, he was constantly smiling.
but even school can take that feeling away within three seconds.
