JIKOOK IS BROTP IN THIS BOOK
🏹
JEON JEONGGUK
"MOVE IT." Jungkook commanded, a smirk settled on his pink lips. The younger boy quickly nodded, pushing up his large glasses to the bridge of his nose before walking around him in fear. Jungkook's friends laughed at the boy, commenting negative things about him. He raised his hand, silencing them before turning around, facing them.
"That kid was a coward. Not able to pick a fight with me. But then again, if he did, he would've ruined my outfit," he commented, straightening his jacket. He came from a rich family, so wearing expensive clothes to school was common to him, unlike his peers, who wore simpler clothes. "Now, you guys go to class, I'll see you guys later." They all nodded their heads and went to their classes.
Jungkook turned back around, only to see the halls cleared. He raised an eyebrow. It was just filled with students a minute ago, he thought, slowly walking passed the lockers. The hall lights flickered, making Jungkook look up. A tingling feeling crawled up Jungkook's spine as the sound of water dripping against the tiled floor filled his ears. An ear-piercing scream erupted through the halls, making Jungkook cover his ears. "Mommy!"
Jungkook turned his head, dropping his arms to his sides as he gulped. He wasn't one to get scared easily, but in situations like these, where he had no control over anything, he felt terrified. He felt overwhelmed by the sudden adrenaline rushing in his veins as he decided to do the only thing he could in that moment — run. He ran as fast as he could, the worst possibilities that could happen pushed him to run the best he possibly could.
A broom came into his peripheral vision, making him run towards it. He took it in his hands and slammed it against the locker. The impact making the end break off, so it was just a long stick. He was planning to use it as a weapon if something did happen.
He quickly ran, his footsteps practically slamming into the tiles as the sound of hushed voices rang in his ears. Every negative comment about him was formed in his mind, as if it was his own demons out to get him. What the hell is happening? Am I going insane? Am I already insane? he thought as he saw the exit door to the school. He gripped tightly onto the broomstick as the sound of footsteps behind him became louder and louder.
Grabbing the cold handle, he attempted to open the door, only to realize that it was locked. "D-Dammit! Shit!" he muttered before turning around. A man appeared, a bandanna covering his mouth and nose as a crossbow was held in his hand. His eyes were red, a blazing ball of anger shown in them as he pointed the crossbow at him, coming even closer. Jungkook closed his eyes, waiting for the worst to happen.
"Jungkook? Jungkook! Jungkook!" he heard someone yell and grab his shoulders. He opened his eyes, only to see Park Jimin in his view, staring at him with wide eyes. He let out a shaky breath, shivering from the hallucination that captivated his mind.
"Jimin, oh, my god. It's just you." Jungkook said, relief lacing in his voice. Jimin tilted his head, a look of confusion plastered on his face. He wrapped his arms around the shorter boy, leaving Jimin even more confused. It had been a long time since Jungkook has ever hugged anyone.
"Jungkook, what happened?" Jimin asked as the younger boy let go of him.
"I don't know. The lights were flickering a minute ago, and there was this person with red eyes and a crossbow, and there were these screams and voices and I couldn't get out." Jungkook explained, making Jimin raise an eyebrow.
"That explains why you have a broken broomstick in your hand as weapon." he joked as he gestured to broomstick, making Jungkook look at it. He shoved his shoulder lightly, a cold glare shown.
"Shut up, I'm not joking." he scowled, rolling his eyes. Jimin sighed, muttering a small 'sorry' before gesturing for him to continue. "I — I don't know why it happened, Jimin. It was so sudden. One second I was getting ready to go to class and the next second I was being chased by a person."
"Maybe you just didn't get enough sleep? Or did you watch any scary movies or anything like that?" he asked, ruffling his pink hair. The younger boy shook his head, a small sigh escaping his lips.
"No, I — surprisingly — went to bed on time." he said truthfully.
Jimin nodded, playing with his small fingers before he said, "Let's get out of here."
"Park Jimin, the goody-two-shoes, is saying that we should ditch school?" Jungkook said in surprise, raising his brows and forming a smirk on his face.
He rolled his eyes, now shoving his shoulder back. "Shut up, you've had a a crappy morning and I know that you're going to talk about this morning the whole day and say we should've skipped school, so I'm granting your wish, you ass."
"Fair enough." he shrugged, dropping the wooden stick and turning around. He opened the door, letting Jimin go out first, still thinking about the hallucination.
What the hell happened?
