"Look Rin, I understand that he infuriated you, but if you throw his backpack into the river you're going to get another hour after school, at the least. Probably even worse. It really isn't worth it considering we have plans to go shopping. This is a waste of time- which we already don't have much of. We have got to find you a dress," Mason spoke very meticulously, obviously trying to pacify my anger. "Plus, I told you I could handle it later."

I scowled. He did not always have to be such an adult. A buzz kill, really.

I looked at.. what was it? Bills, or Wills- whatever his damn name is- backpack. His school fate was hanging in my hands. I had no mercy in mind, or in soul for Bill and his ugly bag- it was even an awful color. Being an imbecile is one thing, but choosing (what I would describe as) a 'puke green' bag is just ridiculous.

I'm certainly no angel. I will admit that I may, or may not have snuck in the boys locker room to steal it, while he may or may not have been at football practice. I still had not a bit of sympathy or mercy to spare, only self accountability and awareness. Revenge might be wrong, and two wrongs may not make a right- but I never claimed to be a decent person.

I would sleep fine tonight.

"I wonder what's in here, hmmm. Aren't you curious Mason?" I was staring daggers into it.

"We should look. Probably a bunch of viagra and condoms. Maybe even steroids. You know he's so beefy, there's no way it's natural- I just wanna look-"

"You better not Rin. You and your curiosity is going to get us both in trouble." Mason and his redundant 'good man mantras'-as I called them. My God. Couldn't he just let me exercise my crazy just this once?

"Oh, spare me the lecture."

I, on the other hand, am absolutely fevering with excitement. I just knew he would be traumatized when he realized his backpack was gone. Mostly because I had no doubt his regular clothes were packed away neatly inside, along with all of his homework and assignments, car keys, deodorant- oh yes. I'm sure it was all in here. I'm also sure he wasn't going to be thrilled to walk around in spandex looking for his bag.

Well, he might be pleased, actually. With an ego like his, he would take any available excuse to walk around indecently. Maybe, I was actually doing him a favor-ick!  That would just really irk me. The image of him flaunting about with everything hanging out just makes me beyond nauseous. Please, get this image out of my head. I feel sorry for myself for even having that thought so vividly.

"Maybe it seems a little harsh to throw it into the river, I know." I sighed. "But I do have a good reason, okay?" I took a rational moment to really contemplate if it was worth it, like Mason had said.

"Also, he started it. You can't deny that. I'm just giving him what he deserves. Karma comes in many forms, and today, it comes in the form of me."

Mason looked at me with disapproval. "I'm not going down with you for this. Just so you know, if you get caught, I am definitely saying I had no idea."

I contemplated some more, and almost changed my mind. Then, what happened in second period came rushing back to me.

I was walking into class when William walked up behind me and shoulder checked me, causing me to drop everything in my hands. My papers scattered absolutely everywhere across the tile floor.

I was already late for class, and was doing my best to slip into my seat quietly. Well, apparently bobblehead was late for class too, and decided to make it an entire scene. Attention seeker.

Horrible timing too, right in the middle of Mrs.Biggams lecture, attracting not only her attention, but that of the entire class. To say the least, she was most definitely dissatisfied. She stopped mid sentence, and glared so intently I thought I would turn to stone.
