Chapter 10

When I woke up I was still in the hospital. Grayson was still in the same place, and this time Ryan is sleeping on one of the couches.
"Grayson" I whisper tapping his shoulder
"Are you okay?" He raises his head up from the bed.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why am I still here?"
"Because they gave you medicine to make you sleep. So they kept you over night" he says rubbing his eyes
"What time is it?" I ask looking for a clock.
"It's 11pm" he says showing me his phone.
"Oh... well I'm going to go back to sleep." I chuckle because I just woke up after 7 hours.
"Okay. Goodnight" he mumbles putting his head back down.
"Wait... Gray can you lay next to me?"

Grayson nods and get into the bed. I cuddle up to him and I fall asleep.

Next Day

"Okay, Piper your good to go." The Doctor says writing on his clip board.
"Thank you" I smile and then walk outside to Grayson and Ryan.

I walk up to Gray and grab his hand and then we walk outside.
"Ms. North, can I speak to you?" I hear from behind me as we are walking to the car. I turn around and see Officer Kasey.

"Is there something wrong?" I ask walking up to him
"I'm afraid yes there is. It's about your house and your safety. I have made the decision that you and Ryan need to live somewhere else. For your safety" he says
"But... Ethan... is gone right? Like locked up somewhere isn't he?" I ask
"Yes. But we don't know how many people he was actually working with. He could be working with more than 2 other people. They already know where you live, and it's best if you stay somewhere else"
"We have no where to stay." I mumble
"Well... don't you have some relatives around?" He asks taking out his notepad to obviously write their names down.
"Yeah. But they don't like us that much"
"Any others ?"
"No..."
"What about the Dolan's? I know the current situation, and that's probably the last place you should go. But if you have no friends or family to stay with it's your only choice, besides staying with people that hate you" he says looking down at me.
"Well, as long as Ethan stays away from me... I guess that fine." I shrug

"Okay Piper you can sleep in this room." Lisa opens a to show me where I'm staying. "And Ryan you can sleep in this room" she points to a door across from mine.
"Thank you so much for this Lisa" I smile hugging her.
"It's no problem." She hugs back. "Well I should get started on dinner. I'll make your favorite, pasta" she smiles
"Yesss" I drag out the "s"

After Lisa leaves I walk over and unpack my things. And then I sit on the bed and look around the room. This used to be a play room when we were little, and on the wall in front of me, Gray, Ethan, and I finger painted the walls. You could still see some of the paint honestly.

I get up and walk over to the wall, crouch down and look at it. Those were the good times, when you have no worries at all, you are a child and you just had fun. I touch the wall and it instantly brings back the memories.

Flashback
"Guys we shouldn't be doing this" I chuckle but continue to paint the wall
"Who cares? It's fun!" Ethan says dipping his hands in the paint and going crazy on the walls
"We are going to get in soooo much trouble" Grayson giggles

"Ethan Grant Dolan, Grayson Bailey Dolan, and Piper Elizabeth North, what do you three think your doing?!" Lisa yells walking into the room
I giggle and put the paint down and the twins do the same.
"I told you we were going to get in trouble" I whisper to them
"C'mon let's get cleaned up" Lisa says grabbing us and walking to the bathroom

End of Flashback
"I remember that day" I hear from behind me, I turn around and see Grayson leaning on the door frame.
"Those were the good days" I light smile at him
"Yeah... they were" he trails off.
I stand up and sit down on the bed and Grayson sits next to me.
"Can I ask you something?" I mumble
"Anything"
"Has Ethan... always been weird like... the bad weird, if you know what I mean"
"No, he hasn't. Honestly I didn't even know he had anything to do with this whole situation. I mean I noticed he was really distant and acting really weird, but I figured it was something with school or his friends. But I never would have guessed it was because of you." Grayson sighs.
"Yeah...well it's nice to know you didn't know about any of this either"
