Chapter 27

It's only been 2 days since I've been kidnapped by Mason. I have only been given a piece of bread and some water. I haven't even been upstairs yet.

When I was eating a small portion of my bread someone opened the door. They were wearing a mask.

"You need to come upstairs" the girl said

I stood up and followed her up the stairs and into the living room. When I enter the living room I see a bunch of clothes. Not nice looking ones but it's something.

"Sit"

I walk over and sit down on the couch across from everyone.
"So here is how you will earn clothes. You will be rewarded with a piece of clothing every time someone in the house thinks you have done something good." A guy says

"So to be nice we have decided to give you a pair of shorts. You do get to pick so choose wisely" Mason says

I stand up and walk over to the collection of clothes and choose some sport shorts. I wish they offered me sweatpants or something because the basement is freezing. But I am not going to ask. I put the shorts on and look at them.

They were all wearing masks so I didn't know what anyone looked like besides Mason.
"Okay, come to the kitchen you will eat and then you will be sent back down stairs." A guy says

I follow him into the kitchen and they give me food and I eat some of the food they give me and then I was told I could take some downstairs.

When I got back downstairs I went back to the corner I always stay in, for some reason it gives me comfort. I was still sitting the corner singing when I heard a scream come from the room in front of me.

I stood up and walked to the door, and put my ear onto it. I heard muffling of voices and some squealing. I put my hand on the door knob to open it but someone hit the wall scarring me.

Once the sounds of voices were gone I went to open the door and it was unlocked. I opened it all the way and I saw a room similar to mine, but it had a mattress and a closet with some clothes in it. I walked in further and saw another set of stairs with another door on the other side of it like mine.

"What is this place?" I ask myself

"This, this is hell"

I turn around and see a girl probably my age and height. She was fully clothed and she has bruises on her face and arms

"Wha-what do you mean" I ask
"What I mean is, your never going to get out of here. I've been here for 2 months. After about 2 weeks they started to treat you like your supposed to be treated when your kidnapped." She says pointing to her face and arms. "Only thing they keep doing is feeding you, clothing you, and giving you stuff for your room. Otherwise they will start to treat you like a piece of shit." She says walking over to her mattress and sitting down
"What's your name?" I ask
"I'm Josie."
"I'm-"
"Your Piper North, I know." She leans back against the wall. "You know if your caught in here they will most likely kill you. Honestly I don't even know why that door was unlocked."
"Are there other people here" I ask
"Not sure. I've only met you." She shrugs
"Oh, well okay. Nice talking to you" I wave walking back into my room shutting the door behind me.

"What were you doing in there?"

I turn around and see someone standing by the stairs.
"I got curious to see if it was unlocked and it was, and I ended up walking all the way in. I'm sorry" I say looking at him
"You see, I should punish you, but I'm not that mean. I'll let this slip by and I won't tell. But remember if this happens again I will have to punish you." He points at me.

I nod and he walks back up the stairs. I walk back into my corner and sit down and proceed to sing because I have honestly nothing else to do.

Ethan's POV

"I can't believe you did this!" I yell
"I had to. Boss said to!"
"She's already been through so much! I don't understand why he wants her!" I hit the table
"Look Ethan. He's been doing this for years. Your just a little baby in this business."
"That is a lie. I've done multiple things to her. I lied and told her that I was back to being normal. IM NOT NORMAL ANYMORE. Do you know how hard it is to control myself around her? But she's my best friend I'm all she has right now. Just... please don't hurt her" I sob

"Ethan... it's to late. We've already been punishing her."
"SHE HASN'T DONE ANYTHING WRONG!" I yell. "Why.... why won't you let me in the fucking house?"
"Because she knows what you look like. She knows what your voice sounds like. Your not allowed in."

I roll my eyes and lean back in the chair. "You know, when I kidnapped her the first time she didn't recognize me. What makes you think she will now?" I ask
"I'll ask boss. But I swear to god, if you get into this house and she finds out this is you. She will die."

I nod and thank him.

I walk out of the abandoned house and got into my car. She doesn't deserve this, she has been through so much and I'm not sure if she can take it anymore.

I knew I should not do what I'm about to, but I decided to drive to the house where they are keeping all of these girls. Piper included.

When I pulled up to the house it was already 12am. I pulled into the drive way and shut my car off. I get out and look around the house to make sure the lights are off.

I turn on the flashlight I brought and started to walk around the backyard until I saw some sort of door sticking out of the ground away from the house. I walk over it, brush the leafs off and try to open the door. Locked.

I walked around the the side of the house into some sort of shed and try to find something to get the lock open. I couldn't find anything besides a sledgehammer, I knew that would make a lot of noise so I would need to move my car.

I walk around the front and pull my car to the end of the driveway and in the trees. I run back to the door and hit the lock once and it broke. I quickly threw the hammer into the trees and I jump into the dark of the cellar door type thing.

I turn the flashlight back on and I'm in some sort of tunnel. I walk down it and I see a bunch of doors on both sides. I was walking down the hallway until I heard a girl scream. I continue to walk and notice there are more hallways

"How big is this place?" I whisper

I took a left and walked down the hall I stopped when I heard singing. I knew exactly who it was,it was Piper.

I grabbed the doorknob and turn the door, it popped open and I saw her. Sitting in the corner.
