Chapter 14: Scaredy Cat

After leaving Mr Eli and Ms Lee we did what Marco suggested and went on rides and games and all sorts of cool things before we had to meet up with the rest. I held on Marcos hand as we walked around and I kept seeing beautiful Princess standing around.

Were they forced or did they love doing it? "Marco?" "Yeah star?" "Those princesses saying hello and hugging small children" "Yeah what about them?" I sigh "Are they happy? Like staying here for the rest of their lives?" He chuckles as we waited in line for a ride

"Star, they go home to their families and stuff" I sigh "Oh okay" as the line moved I saw Janna jumping over the poles and stood behind me and Marco "Sup losers, what's up?" I smirked "Nothing just waiting" she scoffs and looks at the line "Boring, I'm gonna go see you guys later"

"Bye!" She was gone and Marco shook his head "She's so weird, I bet she's stealing stuff" I giggled "Oh shut up" we laughed as the line seemed to go faster. As we got on the ride I just forgot about everything and had fun. I screamed and yelled in excitement, I even looked at Marco who was having the time of his life.

As we got off the sun was setting and the lights were coming on. "We have an hour, what do you want to go on next?" I looked around and I see the giant Ferris wheel "That one!" I pointed towards it and Marco took a deep breath "Okay, we'll get on that"

I took his hand and rushed towards it and I jumped in place as people walked on and off. It was pretty cool, it looked like a glass dome and was colorful. "Can we join?" We turned around and saw Janna, Ferguson and Alfonso "Sure! It's gonna be fun!"

We all piled in and I sat with Marco as he held my hand and the others were talking and taking pictures "You okay?" "What?" "I said are you okay? You seem spaced out?" Janna chuckles "Marco is afraid of heights, specially if we can see the park" I gasp and looked concerned

"Marco?! Why didn't you tell me? We could've done something else?" He shakes his head and takes a deep breath "I'm fine, as long as the ride doesn't get stuck or stops I'm all good" I wrapped around his waist and cuddled under his chin "Okay, if it begins to scare you I'll get us out with my wand and a spell" he shakes his head

"That's not necessary Star" he smiled and I placed a kiss on his lips "Gross" Janna said as she walked towards the others "Ignore her" we smiled a bit before the ride stopped and the cart was moving quite oddly "Oh no"

I whispered and Marco started screaming and panicking quickly and was breathing pretty fast that our friends were worried even Janna who didn't really show her emotions very often. "Marco relax, it's okay" I tried but he was shaking so much and had his eyes shut

"We're gonna die! I called it! We are stuck up here and we're gonna die!" I lowered my head as the screen shows 'Technical Difficulties' great and we're gonna be late to meet up with the rest of our group "Marco dude, relax and take it slow" he glared at Janna "Shut up! I know that!"

She rolled her eyes "Star can you get us out?! Please!" He held my arms tight and the look on his face had me thinking of a spell "I have a spell but you all have to trust me" "Wait! Don't you have dimensional scissors?" Janna said before I blasted our way out "Oh yeah, Duh.."

I pulled them out and cut open to get out of the cart. "Lets go" Marco was the first out and the rest followed. We managed to get near the front entrances and we could see the bus waiting for us "There you guys are, we were worried about you" our teachers said and we nod

"Sorry just lost track" I said taking the blame as we started leaving towards the bus. Marco was quiet and looking at the window as I sat beside him but he didn't even give me a look. When we arrived at the hotel Marco took off and I stood there wondering if he's okay.

"What's up with your boyfriend?" I shrugged "I don't know?" I walked slowly to my room and looked across but as the door opened Marco wasn't in his room. I took off "Star! Where are you going?" "I'll be back" I rushed towards the pool and I saw marco sitting at the edge of the pool

"Figures I'll find you here, what's wrong?" I sat beside him and his lowered his head "I'm a joke" I tilted my head "Why?" "Cause I was acting like a baby on that ride! I wasn't brave.." I moved closer, leaning into his neck and giving him tiny kisses

"You're not a baby, besides you tried you best and you should've told me before we want on idiot" I nudged him playfully and he smirks "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I chickened out on a ride" "Marco, I don't care because I'm just happy being by your side and seeing you be happy with me.."

I held his face and made him look at me "I love your awkwardness and weirdness and all the cute little quirks you have..not everyone is perfect and I'm certainly not perfect by whatever means" he laughs and kisses me "Thanks Star" "No problem"

we sat on the edge for a few minutes before we got caught by Ms Lee. We explained what happened and she understood and made us go to bed. Tomorrow will be our last day here and then we'll be back to our life in echo creek.
