Chapter 08: Boardwalk Madness

Marco Pov
I honestly knew why Star wanted to leave, Jackie was looking at her the wrong way and I knew that Star would've done something if we didn't leave, as we got to the hotel we had to check in with our group leaders, after that we took a shower and went to the boardwalk, it was getting dark and we looked at all the cool things we passed by, it lighten up stars mood "This is so cool! Marco when can we get on rides?!" I chuckled and looked at the rides they had, some where really big others not so much "Oh I wanna go on that!"

Janna said yelling beside me, as I look it was a slingshot, I gulp at how scary that looked and didn't want to look scared for her "That looks amazing" she says letting my arm go, her and Janna jumped up and down and the guys were hype for it too "Dude, your going right?" Ferguson asked and I got looks from our group, I was scared to be honest but I didn't want to disappoint, I've been through worse honestly "Maybe..?" I said unsure about it "Please Marco ride it with me, it'll be less scary if you hold my hand on it" Star soften her look and held out her hand, I sigh and groan a bit "I hate you" she smirks

"No you don't, you love me" I smiled and she hugs me, as we step in line I noticed other people from our trip, I see Justin and Chantalle, Blake, Ingrid, and some others "Oh yeah, get hyped for this! Senior Class rules!" Justin said yelling like crazy, I was beginning to get scared and Star interlocked her hand with mines "Hey, your fine.." I took deep breaths and tried relaxing but each time someone went up I heard their screams and yells..I grabbed my chest and felt my heart was gonna pop out, I started to freak out "Marco, are you okay?"

I was breathing funny and shaking I let her go and ran off, as I was ran away I found a bench and sat down and relaxed myself "Why am I such a coward?" I put my face in my hands and groan in annoyance as I look up I see Star, she was a nice teal dress with sandals and her hair in two ponytail, and the necklace I bought her "There you are, what's the matter?" I sigh and pull her closer "Sorry I ran off, I was terrified thinking about the ride, I just can't do it Star" she ran her fingers through my hair and giggled "You could've just told me..I would've understand" I sigh

"I just didn't want to look scared for you" she held my head and looked at me "Marco Diaz, I don't care what you act around me, because I didn't fall for you for your tough act, I fell for your quirkiness"  I chuckled and smiled "You like me for my awkwardness?" She nodded "Of course I do, why wouldn't anyone?" She pulled me up and held my hands "Let's do other less extreme rides" I looked around and saw the sky ride "Follow me Star" we walked to the sky ride and to our luck nobody is there as we got on Star looked amazed at how beautiful the sight was

"Wow Marco look at that! Look at everyone they look like ants" I began chuckling and she moved closer to me and held on me "This is so nice, isn't it star?" She nods and I see her look back with a annoyed look as I look I see Blake and Jackie, I groan along with her "it feels like she wants me to bash her pretty little face" "Relax Star, when we get off we can play mini games alright?" She nods and I pull her and kiss her head "Alright Marco" as we got off, star pulled me to a game, it was a shooting one "Hey you sir, win a prize for the pretty lady, just $2 for 100 shots, just hit the star and the prize is yours"

star grabbed my arm and began shaking it and I nodded "Fine, okay I'll do it" as I set up Star watched from behind and I began to shoot, the plastic gun was shaking a lot and I missed the star, I held tight and started hitting the target, as I ran out the guy pulled the paper and I completely got the Star "Here you are sir" he gave me a giant teddy bear and I turned towards star who had stars in her eyes "Here you go Star" I handed it to her and she hugged it and cried which made me laugh

"It's so beautiful Marco, I love it thank you" I pulled her into a hug and I noticed the bear was bigger then her and it was a chance for a photo "Excuse ma'am, doctor mind taking a photo of me and my girlfriend?" I asked a woman and she kindly accepted and she took a couple pictures and handed my phone and stars iPod back "Thanks" star made me carrying the bear because she couldn't see but I didn't mind, she pulled me every which way and looked around, as we inch closer towards the big scary ride, I took a deep breath

"Star, let's get on that one" she looked at the ride and at me "Marco we don't have to, let's go on that one" she pointed at the Ferris wheel which seemed liked a better choice "Okay but before we leave this trip we are gonna get on that ride, I promise" she nods and starts walking towards the Ferris wheel, as we get in we looked at ocean and the pretty lights that were flashing on the boardwalk, star looked down and at me "It's been great Marco" I smiled and looked at her, as she turns to face me I lean and kiss her, she giggles "Your welcome"

as the ride stopped  which I assume for people to get on or off we were left at the top, as I look in front of us, it was the slingshot, I heard familiar screams and voices coming from it 'I'm gonna die!' 'I hate you Janna for doing this!' 'Awesome!' I shake my head and Star laughs "You heard Ferguson?" I nodded "Yeah and Janna laughing at him" we laugh a bit and I sigh "I'm such a chicken, I wish I can be brave for rides like that, so you can have fun" she held my face "Listen, I don't care I'm having an awesome time hanging with you in smaller and less scary rides"

as we reached the bottom I grabbed stars hand and enter in line for the ride "Marco? What are you doing?" I took a deep breath "Being brave" as I saw Ferguson and Janna come down, she looked pumped and Ferguson did too but a little scared "Guys! It's amazing!" "Dude, it's a rush try it" I nodded and they buckled us in and made us sign wavers in case something happens which I pray doesn't "Keep your hands and legs in the ride at all times and have fun, bye now" as the man pressed the button it shot up and I screamed loud and I suddenly felt stars hand on my hand and she was screaming as well "This is horrible!" She yells as we get lowered down she gets off and cries and I go comfort her

"Are you okay?' She held on me and cried in my chest and I held her while I rubbed her back, I thought I would've been the one crying "Marco, please let's never go on a ride like that ever!" I nodded "Yeah, I'm so never getting on that again" as she wiped her face she grabbed her teddy bear and we began walking back to the hotel, as we get there we see some teachers well Mr. Eli and Ms Lee laughing as the looks of it "Hey guys, wow that's a giant bear" Ms Lee said and Star nods "Yeah, Marco won it for me, its so soft we're going to bed so later"

they waved at us and we headed to our room, as we got there I kissed star good night but she pulled me into her room, none of her roommate was there yet, probably still out "Wanna watch a movie?" She asked setting down the giant bear? I nodded and she put a random movie and we cuddled on the bed after a few hours her roommates came in, hype and full of energy well Janna did Jazmin looked sick "That was so funny, Jazmin puked on cups and it went everywhere and it missed me completely" Jazmin ran towards the bathroom and we heard her vomit, it started to make me sick

"Well I'm gonna go to my room, night Star" I kissed her "Good night Marco" I waved at her and Janna and I see Ferguson knocking in the door calling me "Marco! Open up!" I walked by him and made him jumps "I'm not in there, but I'm here now" I laugh and he hits my shoulder "Dude don't scare me, I've been scared enough" I shake my head and noticed Alfonso isn't here yet wonder where he's at? "So have I, that ride wasn't a rush it was scary!" He nods "Oh big time, Janna is crazy I don't know how she does it, I'm gonna shower first okay"

I nod and he goes into the bathroom and I jump on my bed and look at the photos we took, I loved the one of us on the sky ride, she kissed my cheek and I smiled as I sent the picture to my mother she immediately calls me, I laugh and hear her compliments..
