Brave Shine (A Boku No Hero Academia Fanfic)

Chapter 1~

I was 3 that day...

The day I realized people change...

I was in the classroom playing with yarn.

I heard shouting outside but it was not clear enough for my cat ears to catch. I looked outside through the window and my eyes widened.

Midoryia was standing in front of a classmate, he trembled with fear as Kacchan and his friends stared at him with their quirks unleashed.

I shut my eyes down hard as I heard him yell in pain, after it seemed like forever until I opened them again.

Izuku was laying on the floor, beaten up.

I opened the door and ran outside to him, "Izuku! Izuku!" I called out. I sat down by his side.

"Are you alright?!" I asked him, my ears folded down.

"I'm fine Hikari." He said slowly, my lips trembled as he said so, "W-Why did K-Kacchan do this?" I asked him.

"Because...I'm quirkless..." He mumbled.

But I said with tears in my eyes, "It doesn't matter Izuku! Your my best friend! Quirkless or not! It wasn't right that Kacchan did this!"

He smiled and got up weakly, I noticed this and placed my hands together.

"What are you doing Megumi?" Izuku asked me, "I'm giving your more energy! I-I haven't tried to do this because I don't know how to use my quirk as well as Kacchan...b-but I'll try!" I smiled.

I concentrated on my mind, then a small ball of light - pure energy - came in between my hands.

I held it and gave it to Izuku, he held it in his palms - then the light flowed through his body making him glow.
He let out a sigh of relief and I smiled, but yawned.

I winced as I felt the fiber of my skin being torn.

I rolled up my right sleeve and saw a huge gash, "W-WHA?!" I yelped and winced.

The blood ran down my arm, "H-Hikari?!" Midoryia gasped, He helped me up and we ran to a teacher.

After she patched me up, I sat down in my seat, "So, Hikari...you said this happened after you used your quirk?" The teacher asked me quietly. I sniffed and nodded.

"Okay, I'll call your mommy and she'll pick you up later - kay'?" She smiled. I nodded.

On the other side of the classroom I heard Kacchan talking to Midoryia.

"If it weren't for you - Hikari wouldn't have gotten hurt!" Kacchan shoved Midoryia.

I walked over to them and glared at Kacchan. "Stop hurting Izuku!"

"I didn't get hurt because of him! I got hurt because of you! If you wouldn't of hurt him, I wouldn't have given him some energy!" I frowned.

Kacchan frowned, "Why are you defending this quirkless looser?!"

"Because, he's my best friend! Even if he didn't have a quirk - he w-would still be like a big brother to me! I'd love him either way!" Yes I said it, I love Midoryia. He's always acted like a big brother, he is like big brother! So I love him just as I love my family!

Kacchan glared at Midoryia, he growled and walked away. My ears folded as I looked to Midoryia.

"Your like a little sister to me!" He smiled.

I sat in class bored waiting for it to end,  the teacher said something about joining U.A.

I looked up and saw the teacher talking about Bakugou.

Something about him going to U.A, I didn't pay attention.

"Megumi is thinking about going to, huh?" One of my classmates said which made a glare from Kacchan come my way, I shivered.

I put my head down on the table and thought about other things until I heard laughter, "Midoryia? Thinking about going to U.A huh~?" One classmate teased.

My eyes turned red and I sent glares to everyone making the class shut up.

I sighed and my eyes turned back to being one golden and one dark grey.

After a long time the class ended, "Oh Midoryia! I'll be right back, I'm going to buy something! I'll be right back to go walk home with you!" I said, he nodded and I ran out of the school.

I bought snacks from a nearby store and walked back, I was eating some pocky, then something landed on my head, I groaned and squatted down on the ground and rubbed my head.

I checked for what landed on me.

It was a notebook.

I looked inside and saw a bunch of notes on Hero's...

It was burnt but I was still able to figure out the words...

Then I remembered that Midoryia had a book like this!

But if it was burnt then...maybe he manifested his quirk! Maybe it was fire- or- or! I was exited! I walked up to the classroom then stopped when I saw Kacchan about to step out of the classroom, then he stopped and turned to someone.

"Hey Deku...if you wanna be a hero that badly there actually might be another way...Just pray that you'll be born with a quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building."

My eyes widened, I dropped the book and landed on my knees, my eyes turned sliver.

H-How...

W-Why would he s-sa- say that...

When I was younger, my sister committed...because my father went into villainy...and my mother died when I was younger so I had no one to take care of me, then my aunt came from Tokyo to raise me up until now, I moved into my own apartment.

But what he said had gone to far.

I placed my hands on the floor as tears slid down my face.

I used my quirk to mold in with the shadows so they wouldn't notice me, they walked away.

I got up and wiped my tears, I came back to normal and grabbed the notebook, I put on a brave smile and walked into the class.
