Chapter 2~

What happened today?

Why did it all happen today? I thought as I laid on my bed.

The events of today replayed in my head, I had met All Might...I'd seen All Mights true form...Izuku was going to have a quirk in almost 10 months...but what had really haunted me today was Kacchan's face while he was trapped with the slime monster.

His face looked truly helpless...

His face held the same expression that my mother did - the day - the day...she died.

It scared me how similar those expressions were.

To be put in the same situation again, where someone was trapped and another person jumped into action.

This time it was Izuku, as I stood there frozen - Izuku ran out there to help Kacchan.

My eyes were paralyzed to what was happing. Izuku ran forward - and threw his backpack, hitting the slime monster. Then the slime monster raised a - slimy hand - and raced it towards Izuku.

My eyes turned silver and I ran forward, dropping my backpack. In almost slow motion, I ran in front of Izuku and morphed a shield that protected us from the slime monsters attack, then All Might came and everything became blurry.

But someone ran into action to save another person...While I stood there frozen.

It was all to familiar to me.

I was 5...I was in 1st grade, walking home from school with my mother.

She had wanted to become a Hero, but she had me - and my older sister - who she had to take care of.

We were almost home when I heard a scream, we ran towards the sound and my eyes widened and ears folded.

A villain who's quirk was fire, had killed a family in a home. The mother begging for mercy as she was kneeling in front of the man.

He used his quirk and blood splattered across the wall, my eyes turned silver.

"M-Mommy?!" I called out.

She looked to me with red eyes, her quirk shined through the afternoon light as she raised to the man.

It seemed to go on for hours as they battled - and as she stood their paralyzed with fear and confusion.

Her eyes widened as wide as possible as she stared at her mother who was now in the hands of the man, her face pleading - for me to run...

I shook my head.

Tears falling from my eyes.

She gave me one last final smile as the man slit her throat with a knife he got from the floor.

I screamed in horror, my eyes glowed red - but I didn't move.

I was angry - sad - confused - hurt - but I didn't move.

He burned down the house and left me sobbing.

It was that day I new I was afraid of people with fire quirks.
