Mystery to Symmetry

We scurry through life's labyrinth en masse,
Like rats scuttling through shattered glass.

Trying to grasp, to connect the dots,
Craning necks to look up to a beau ideal; we're all lost.

Oh sugar, look up above your head tonight,
Search for your star that shines ever so bright.

In this intricately ornated canvas of a sky,
You'll find it gazing right back at you, drawing you nigh.

Let your lashes fall upon your skin ever so delicately,
And let the orb lead you ahead,
I promise you, you won't be mislead.

Outlined by the glow,
I sauntered, leaving footsteps on the sand below.

Cautious steps through this maze,
Made me bump into you only to espy a haze.

You were all streaks of gray,
Tried to look past, found no way.

So I seeked help from above anew,
Only to witness a starry chaos; bestowed with which are only a few.

For our neutron stars had collided oh so gracefully,
Like our bodies had so obliviousy yet deliberately.

That night, I witnessed with you beside me,
A stellar catastrophe,
A cellestial crescendo from a faint gleam to a fiery dazzle.

Had I only known that I'd seen a glimpse of our lives hereafter;
A duo sharing grief and laughter.

For as the wind carried away the days,
You thinned the fog behind which you hid,
And we came face to face.

You drowned me in your honey sweet words,
Like arousing to blithely chirping birds.

You made me dance to the lilt of your heartbeat,
Then lulled me to sleep on gloomy nights.

You were a foggy mystery,
That I'd wanted to elucidate so desperately.

Now you're transparent enough for me to see myself,
As I gaze at your grace only to engulf myself.

You were a foggy mystery,
Now, you're my symmetry.

A/N:
To the person who suggested me the title of the book. Didn't know until now why I'd found it so soothing.

Besides a dedication, I also tried conveying in the starting stanzas that you should follow your heart (your star being your heart). Do whatever makes you happy. Life is short. Might as well spend it well.
