Suzy prides herself on being an excellent actress. Yet, there were moments when she couldn't understand her. No matter how much she looked at her, Park Chaeyoung exuded the charm and sophistication of Rosé. But even after gazing at Rosé for what felt like forever, Suzy couldn't find the gentle tenderness of the Chaeyoung she loved—even if it was Rosé who first captivated her.

Both she and Chaeyoung shares one thing in common: living dual lives and could switch between them effortlessly. The difference, however, is in the precision of their transitions.

Rosé and Park Chaeyoung were one and the same, yet also entirely separate. At least, that's how Suzy saw it. She could find Rosé within Park Chaeyoung, but no matter how hard she searched, Park Chaeyoung always remained hidden. The girl buried herself too deeply. On stage, Rosé would take over, delivering a thirty-song set bursting with energy. And once the lights dimmed, Chaeyoung would lock that same artist away in some distant corner. There was even a time when Rosé became so overwhelmed on stage that, after the curtains fell, Chaeyoung couldn't bring herself back. She cried for days. That week, she refused to see Suzy even once. Her girlfriend could be as stubborn as they come.

Suzy, on the other hand, isn't as strict with herself. When filming, she embodies her characters perfectly, but when the cameras stopped rolling, she would step away as if it had never been part of her life. People often said that being an actor meant selling your soul to the role—or worse, living a fake life. She thought it was enough to live with the character and understand their emotions. She personally opposed the idea of losing herself entirely in a role to the point where she couldn't separate from it once filming was done. She wouldn't sacrifice her own identity. She didn't want to lose herself. She had to quickly return to being Sooji, to continue loving Park Chaeyoung.

Unlike Chaeyoung, who insisted on being Park Chaeyoung and loving Bae Suzy, Suzy didn't mind being Suzy and loving Rosé. It spiced things up, after all—a little bit of diversity never hurts anyone.

Suzy had never imagined meeting Rosé of BLACKPINK, let alone falling for Park Chaeyoung.

Their first encounter was at a year-end music award show in 2016. Suzy didn't expect to see her again. A rookie group and an idol nearing the end of her group's disbandment—what reason would they have to cross paths again? Suzy saw BLACKPINK's potential. She knew they'd dominate the international market and become global superstars. Meanwhile, she was content with solidifying her place in Korea as an actress. For some reason, Suzy thought of herself and Chaeyoung as opposites, like probiotic milk and soju—both satisfying thirst but catering to entirely different tastes.

Suzy had reached an age where she preferred her soju pure. No fruity flavors or added syrups can satisfy her anymore.

That was, until Hyeri—her meddlesome friend—decided her life was too bland and poured an entire bottle of Yakult into her half-finished shot of Hwayo. Until Park Chaeyoung stood before her and boldly declared, "Sunbaenim, I want to pursue acting."

"You look familiar. Have we met before?"

"Yeah, we met at the 2016 year-end awards. Back then, you saw Rosé. But the person standing before you now is Park Chaeyoung."

"There's a difference?"

"Are you a BLACKPINK fan?"

"Not really. Why?"

"Then, I'm only Park Chaeyoung to you."

Everything was fine until Park Chaeyoung appeared. Suzy had been an exceptional actress before Park Chaeyoung entered her life. She will still be one if the world doesn't know about Park Chaeyoung.

"Are you really interested in acting? If it's your passion, I won't say anything. But if you're just doing it for fun, you should think twice. Your group's position in Korea isn't stable yet."

"With this face, is there anything I can't do?"

"Have you asked Hyeri?"

"Haha, her advice doesn't count. And what can I expect from that drunkard?"

Suzy didn't want to expose how Chaeyoung consistently pour Hyeri shots while holding a beer in one hand and barley tea in the other. She had never seen anyone use both hands so skillfully. For now, Suzy (reluctantly) let her statement about your "almighty" versatile face slide.

Finally, Suzy had only ever loved men—until Park Chaeyoung walked into her life. Suzy should've believed Chaeyoung the moment she said there was nothing her face couldn't do. After seven years of knowing Chaeyoung, Suzy'd seen all the changes in her: from a rapidly rising career to becoming the global ambassador for YSL and other brands, and eventually, becoming a solo artist. Suzy had guided Rosé to success, and Sooji had watched Park Chaeyoung gradually mature.

Still, she couldn't help but feel sorry for YSL and Dior. The parent companies, Kering and LVMH, only knew that the two ambassadors from rival French fashion houses were competing. But in the quiet hours of the night, those same ambassadors were teaching each other how to pose for editorials. The most authentic version of Dior's ambassador was only visible to YSL's. Meanwhile, Dior's ambassador taught YSL's ambassador a variety of poses.

It went so far that one day, while Suzy was dozing off, she overheard a call from the Creative Director Vaccarello, scolding Rosé for suddenly exuding a "Dior vibe." As Suzy wondered when Maria would call her for the same problem, only to hear Chaeyoung yawning through her reply, "Well, in the group, I'm closest to Jisoo."

Half-truth is almost the truth. Park Chaeyoung should've said, "In the group of Dior ambassadors, I'm closest to Sooji's body every night."

Suzy should've believed her from the start, when she said there was nothing that face couldn't do.
