Chapter 12: Land of Waves! Tree climbing

Kanji pov

"are you ok, sensei?" Tazuna's daughter asked

Otōsan chuckled nervously "not really..it will be hard just to move for a week.." Otōsan said

Right now Otōsan was in bed at Tazuna's house resting, since he over used his Sharingan. I groaned.

Otōsan was being stubborn, he won't stop trying to get up when he KNOWS he need to rest.

"Well, if I knew any better. I'd say you shouldn't move for awhile!" Tazuna's daughter scolded Otōsan

He tried sitting up again. I walked over and pushed him back down gently.

"Otōsan... Just rest, you need it...please" I whispered my voice laced with worry

Otōsan's eye softened, "O-Okay.." He said as he laid back down

I gave him a closed eye smile. I backed away and sat on my knees close to him. I looked at Tazuna's daughter, she was smiling weirdly at me. I squirmed under her gaze.

"Gah! Ok, ok! Geez, calm down.. First, tell me how you figured it out. Second don't do that smile, that was creepy.." I whined

I stared at her trying to see how she figured I'm a girl. No one has figured it out that easily.

She cleared her throat, "ok well I can easily tell a girl from a boy, plus you have the figure of a girl. Oh by the way my names Tsunami!" She explained

"Hi, my names Kanji" I greeted back with a smile

Tsunami smiled back.

"Oh! Kakashi-sensei is awake!"

I jumped and and looked at the doorway, everyone was there.

"Come on!" Sakura shouted

she quickly took a seat next to Otōsan. Sasuke took a seat next to me and Naruto went next to Sakura. I watched as Tazuna walked in and sat next to his daughter.

Your Sharingan is amazing, but if it puts that much of a strain on your body, it may not be worth it"" Sakura yelled

Sakura's right...but if we get into any more trouble we need all the power we can get.

"s-sorry.." Otōsan mumbled sheepishly

"but you know. He did take down a real powerful ninja just like that!" Tazuna boasted

He did take down Zabuza...but it would have cost him his own life... And I'm not going to let that happen anytime soon!

"He did but who was the that masked ninja?" Sakura questioned

"it was a hunter-nin.. Ne, Otōsan aren't hunter-nin's supposed to start looking the body over right away?" I asked

Sakura looked confused, so she kept staring at Otōsan.

"Yes, they are supposed to erase all evidence that a ninja even existed. The body of a ninja holds many secrets, such as their abilities, their chakra type and jutsus. And if that were to get out the village that the ninja was in would be in danger. For instance, if I were to be killed and examined, all the secrets of my Sharingan would be investigated. But in the worst case, there's a danger that all my jutsus could be taken. In other words, tracker or hunter-nin keep village secrets from leaking out by killing the rouge ninjas who left their village, completely eliminating their body." Otōsan explained

I was confused, if the hunter-nin were supposed to erase all the evidence, why did this one take Zabuza somewhere else? I bit my lip, it makes no sense! Zabuza body must hold many secrets that would need to be erased immediately, so why didn't that hunter-nin do that? I frowned and bit my lip even harder. I was staring into space, thinking about the hunter-nin and Zabuza. Something warm went down my chin, I went to wipe whatever it was away from my chin but Sasuke caught my arm. I glared at him for stopping me and he glared back. Sasuke grabbed my chin with his free hand, his thumb caressed my chin and sometimes would touch my lip. My heart beat faster, I blushed and pulled away from his touch. Why did my heart beat faster when he touched me..?
