Chapter 20: Chunin Exam: Forest of Death!

Kanji's view

I faced a gigantic forest with metal fencing around it, this was where the second part of the Chunin Exam was going to be taken. I'm pretty nervous, it looks scary in there. Who knows what's living there, waiting to eat us. Man-eating animals..

"This is the sight of the second test, the 44th training field. Also know as... The forest of death." Anko smirked evilly.

I gulped. Why would they name it the forest of...death?! It looks scary, yes. But I see nothing else about it that could be that bad. This is just making me nervous even more than I need to be.

Shuffle shuffle (a/n:....idk even know...)

I sweat dropped. A square rock again, huh? Isn't that Konohamaru, Moegi and Udon? Naruto noticed too, we both stared at the 'rock'. He decided that running was a good idea, so currently he was running from the 'rock' back and forth. Amused, I stared at Naruto following his every move. He stopped after a while, then spun around to face the rock.

"Hey, Konohamaru! What is it that you want?" Naruto shouted, pointing at them.

I walked over, my gaze glued to the rock.

"Just what I expect from the man I respect! Good job on figuring it out." Konohamaru shouted from inside the box.

The box started glowing, I backed up in fear. Not again! It exploded, leaving a giant cloud of multi-color smoke. I coughed along with the three children who were inside the box.

I coughed, "you guys used way to much gun powder again!" I sputtered.

"I know!" Konohamaru coughed out.

Damn it, they shouldn't even have gun powder in the first place! Clearing my throat, I watched tiredly as they introduced themselves again.

"What's going on, you guys?/ Why are you here?" Naruto and I asked. "Were about to take the second part of the Chunin Exam."

"I have no time to be playing with you guys." Naruto added.

"We didn't come here to play!" Konohamaru yelled.

"That's right we came here for an interview!" Moegi shouted.

"That's right." Udon said.

I tilted my head, interview?

"Interview?" Naruto asked.

"Yeah, we're in charge of writing the feature article about the Chunin Exam, for the academy's class newspaper." Konohamaru stated proudly.

"So that's why we came to interview you and Kanji-onee-san! Please cooperate with us." Moegi begged.

I smiled, aw they want to interview us! How sweet!

"Hey you over there! What are you doing!?" Anko yelled and walked over.

"Konohamaru here is asking about an interview for the class newspaper." Naruto said.

Anko's eyes widened, "Oh! I forgot, Lord Hokage mentioned something like that." Anko said, as she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

I sweat dropped, "Anko-san, you forget very easily don't you?" I stated bluntly.

She nodded slowly, "Yeah... All right, take a 10 minute break starting now! For those who will be interviewed, resign yourselves and be courteous." Anko shouted.

"Big brother Naruto! I'm counting on you!" Konahamaru shouted.

"In that case, I'll just show you how awesome I am!" Naruto bragged.
