"Nor, I'm sweating like a hooker in church so you better get ya ass out here." Laur said through the phone. I quickly put my earrings in my ear and grabbed everything I needed.
"Kev, are you going with us?" I shouted to my boyfriend who was upstairs.
"No, Klay's picking me and Dray up later." He replied. We exchanged our "I love you's" and out the door I went.
I hopped in Laur's car and shut the door. "What's up, sis?" I asked.
"Eesh got me all the way messed up, waking up at 8 in the morning." Laur joked.
"Gotta love her, though!" I replied.
"Connect to the aux and play somethin' to wake me up." Laur said while yawning.
"You already know I gotchu." I said, connecting my phone to the aux. I played "From the D to the A" by Tee Grizzley ft. Lil Yatchy. That woke her right up. She rapped Tee's part and I rapped Yatchy's, snapchatting the whole entire thing because we were so hyped.
We arrived at Steph and Eesh's house and walked in. "Young Eesh, where you at?" Laur yelled as Eesh came out of the kitchen.
"Alright girlies, we've got a lot of cooking to do and time is of the essence. Laur, get started on the side dishes. Nor, start cutting up the fruits. I'll handle the complicated cooking because I'm the chef here." She instructed and winked at the end. She is the real Chef Curry after all.
We started all of our duties and an hour later, Klay, Kev and Dray arrived. They all went out to the backyard to help Steph finish setting up. They cleaned out the fire pit, placed huge speakers outside so we'd be able to jam, and strung Christmas lights everywhere.
Just as we finished cooking, we heard a phone ringing. It was Steph's that he left on the table. "Wardell, your phone!" Eesh shouted to her husband. He must've not heard, so she went over to answer it and put it on speaker.
"Hello?" Eesh said.
"Damn Steph, your voice is more feminine than I remember." The voice of Paul George said.
"Pauly Paul!" Laur exclaimed.
"Is that Lauren Thompson I hear?" Paul teased.
"The one and only!" She replied as I laughed.
"I hear your loud ass cackle in the background, Nor. You can't hide!" He said through the phone while I let out another laugh.
"Hold on, PG. I'll go get Steph." Eesh said.
"Nah, it's all good. I was just wondering if I could bring a date?" Paul asked.
"Awe, Paulita's got a date!" Laur teased.
"Of course you can bring a date!" Eesh added.
"Sweet. It's actually kind of funny because y'all know her-"
"I HEAR PAPI PAUL. GIVE ME THE PHONE!" Dray yelled, cutting Paul off and snatching the phone.
"Sure Dray, you can have the phone." Laur sarcastically said as we all shook our heads.
We finished up cooking and changed out of our food-covered clothes.
