It's been three weeks since Blessings was released and it's sitting comfy at the top of the Billboard and iTunes charts. The positive feedback has been amazing and I still get butterflies whenever I hear my own song on the radio.
The off-season was going by way too fast, so we're trying to do everything possible before it comes to an end. Kev and Steph brought up the idea of flying out to watch the Redskins play the Panthers. Dray was of course infatuated with the idea because it gave him a reason to drink and Steph and Kev just wanted to see their favorite teams play.
We made these plans two weeks back and the game was taking place tomorrow. Everyone was all packed and ready to go. We were all in a private room at the airport, waiting for Klay and Lauren to arrive.
"Y'all always bítch at me for being late, but these fools are a whole hour late." Dray said, shaking his head.
"Oh shut up, they had to drop Addy off at Klay's parents house." I said as I rolled my eyes at Dray. Before Dray could make another smart remark, Klay and Laur were escorted into our private waiting room by their bodyguards.
"We're here, we're here! Traffic was horrible." Laur groaned as she collapsed in a chair.
"No excuses! We're now an hour behind schedule." Dray exclaimed. Boy if you don't.
Klay furrowed his eyebrows. "Since when are you time savvy?" He asked Dray.
"Since now motherfückers. Let's get this show on the road." Dray replied as he picked up his bags.
"He's on his man period." Ayesha whispered to everyone as we all agreed. This was going to be an interesting flight.
We all made our way into the jet and settled in for the flight. "Ayo, pass me the speaker!" Dray shouted to Steph.
"Oh, so now you're in a good mood?" Steph taunted Dray as he connected his own phone to the speaker.
"If your bright light ass does not throw me the speaker, you gon' find out what it's like to go skydiving without a parachute." Dray threatened. Steph complied and tossed the speaker to Dray, who happily blu-toothed his phone and played the famous "Magnolia" by Playboi Carti.
"THIS MY SHÍT!" Laur yelled as she got up and did her best attempt at milly rockin'. Luckily, I got her reaction on snap.
"YO PIERRE, YOU WANNA COME OUT HERE?" Kev yelled the intro as he jumped up and started to dance.
