The Player

Chapter 18

I get waken up from Shawn,"hey um I have to start heading to the airport, would you want to drive me?" He asked. "Yeah of course Shawn!" I say. I get up and get dressed and looked presentable. I look at the clock and it's 4:30 am "Shawn are you ready?" I ask "yeah, I'm coming now" he says as he's carrying a suitcase.

We get in the car and head out. It's about a hour and half to two hour drive and he has to be the at 7:30. I stop and get us coffee and muffins. Once we got to the airport we just sat around until it was time for him to board his plane.

"Okay are you sure you have everything Shawn? I would doub-" he cuts me off "Bailey I have everything I'm pretty sure. We checked like three time already everything is there" he says chuckling. "Okay I just want to make sure" I say getting up.

"Hey would you want to walk with me?" He asks. "Oh yeah no problem." I say we get passed everything and we were at the gate. "Hey I want to make sure that I'll text you everyday and I'll be back soon I promise" he says. "Of course, but is this how it's going to be? Like you traveling unexpectedly and stuff getting pushed forward or backward?" I ask him. "I'm not sure, I hope not. I don't want to be traveling all the time. Not unless you're with me but you have school" he says looking down.

"Um I got you something" he says as he reaches in his pocket. "It's nothing fancy but this has the first guitar pick that I ever had and what brought me to the recording studio and my first opening act and I want you to have it, I put it on a chain so you can wear it, you'll have a piece of me where ever you go" he says as he puts in on. "Shawn it's perfect, thank you." I say. Tears start to form my eyes and realize that this was going to be harder then what I thought it was going to be. Shawn pulls me in and holds me. "I'll be back I promise" he looks down at me and kisses me. "I have to go. I can't miss this flight." He says as he kisses me again

I stand there while I watch he walk away and walk onto the plane. There's tears streaming down my face. After I figured he was already seated, I started walking back to the front door. I started hearing footsteps running towards me, I turn around and I see Shawn running. "Bailey" I hear him I start to run towards him. "Shawn what are doing? You're going to miss your flight." "Bailey I can't leave without" he's trying to catch his breath. "Shawn breathe before you talk" I say "I love you Bailey" he says.
