"Isabella!" Jacques pulls me into a half hug. "What's been happening lately?"
"Nothing." I shrug and grab my books out of my locker.
"Nothing?" He can be persistent. " Nothing over the weekend?"
" I went grocery shopping with my mom and Nina invited us over for dinner."
"Cool I went street racing."
"I already told you to stop doing that it isn't safe. And you don't have your license."
"At least I'm not selling drugs right?"
"That comparison isn't sensible. Those two are different things. Street racing seems better but its more dangerous."
Jacques pouts. "You spend to much time around adults."
"And you spend to much time around spitfire teenage boys."
"Offense taken!" Jacques dramatically grasp his chest. "I'll see you at lunch if I have forgiven you!"
