I decide to walk home, since its such a beautiful day outside, nobody my age really goes outside anymore. I walk through the various pathways alone like I always do, occasionally seeing little rabbits and birds pass me by. For the last part of my walk I cut through the forest. The forest has always been a really peaceful place for me; a place where I can be myself without being judged. I stumble upon a little puppy, who runs his way towards me barking.
I hold my hand out gently, allowing him or her to sniff. "Its okay buddy, I'm safe." I coo to the dog. He was a little grey dog with white paws. This dogs beauty was amazing, he/she had these amazing crystal blue eyes. I suddenly envied the dog for its beautiful eyes. The dog allows me to rub...... his head ( I just checked) and begins to get playful, play biting my hands and what not.
I suddenly realize that there is no owner with the dog, but he does have a collar! I look at the tag and I see a name and address on him. Zeus, that's a cute little puppy name. I type the address in my phone, and pull up a map to see where it is located. Its about half a mile away, that's not to bad, I pick up Zeus and I follow the map until I find a large house. It was a very pretty brick house, it had a black door and it had blinds in the window; it even had a stone walkway, that's amazing. I knock on the door, and I hear loud thumps coming closer to the door. I'm just going to assume that its the owner.
The door is opened, and I see an all to familiar face, he rose an eyebrow at me. "What are you doing here?" He snapped. I could sense he was nervous but I don't know why.
I held up Zeus and his eyes widen. "Isn't this yours?" I ask lightly chuckling.
He bats his eyes, "Oh my God! I'm so sorry. What did he say to you?" It was my turn to raise an eyebrow, say? It's a dog, what could he say?
"Umm, he barked at me like twice, I don't know what else he could say.." I say no longer containing my laughter. I'm sure my face is red from this. I notice a little pink tint on his cheek, making me laugh a little bit harder.
He takes Zeus out of my hands and puts him on the floor behind him. "Sorry about that." He says quickly about to shut the door but I stop him.
"Is it broken?" I ask and he raises an eyebrow. "Your nose, is it broken?" I ask.
Shiloh's eyes widen in realization. "Ohh. I don't know." He shrugs his shoulders causing me to glare at him.
"Did you at least ice it?" I ask him and he shakes his head. "Why not?" I ask becoming slightly pissed off.
He shrugs his shoulders. "Why don't you come in and ice it for me then." He tells me. It doesn't sound like a question either.
My eyes widen this time, "I don't think that's a good idea. I'm not supposed to go inside of a strangers house." I tell him, hoping that excuse is good enough.
